I've said for 2 yrs that if Brian Shaw were to ever focus on arm wrestling he'd be world champ...period. He has incredibly large hands, one of the strongest grips in the world, immensely huge (6'8 and 400 lbs) and goes without saying is the strongest man in the world. He has all the tools to smash Levan if he focused on arm wrestling. Nobody would touch him for years either.

He’s just as much of a genetic freak as Levan is, maybe losing a little bit of thickness for height, he’s just been geared differently for a really long time and it’ll take a while for him to develop that armwrestling experience and strength.

Started doing a general full body workout programme about two months ago and around one month ago began focusing on forearm, bicep, tricep etc. Prior to beginning this last month, relaxed with arm straight my forearm was 15", bicep 18.25". Now my forearm is 15.5", bicep 18.5". Really pleased with the progress, but hearing Brian's measurements, I've come back to earth with a bang

After that Haftór was interseted to try and Devon safely showed him. This last part was recorded and become viral.

There's also a video of him making a 100 kg barbell look half its weight as he curls it 4x without tiring on the last rep. He's got amazing arms! And if you've seen it, or when you watch it. Remember that holding a 100 kg in front of you would completely throw your balance off -- no matter how heavy you are. So of course he's leaning back a bit. But he is using his ARMS! he's not swinging the weight! That would be a cheating curl, but even cheating can be quite impressive. Like the cheated curls of Denis Cyplenkov: 140 kg! He also set the world record of a strict curl: 113 kg! But to just get 140 kg up to your shoulders is mind-blowing!

It takes more than tesching... there are muscles that arm wrestlers use that do not get trained traditionally, also their tendon strength has been trained far far more and they take tendon healing supplements for 10+ years. The strongmen have more raw power but the technique and tendon strength take a decade to train, they will never catch up unless they dedicate their life to it which is not even close to worth it for strongmen.
