What a helpful video. Gotta appreciate companies that want you to get the full value of their product instead of wanting you to buy a new one sooner.

It would help if the controller displayed battery levels in percentages. Love my Scorpion X

Good comment although at least I know it’s fully charged when the charger turns green from red

The battery and bike's display each have a bar graph that does this.
I got one of those $350 Cycle Satiater chargers which can automatically stop charging when the battery gets to about 80%. Way too expensive, but it's a nice solution nevertheless.
Ur wesome Guy!
my battery has not been charged in quite a while. (months) but the battery indicator and the display both say it is fully charged. What's up with that? and you say power the battery on, I see green indicator lights when I push the on button but they dont stay lit. Is my battery on? If not how do I turn it on?
What did set low voltage cut off to?
I have a Satiator battery charger and I charge my battery to 85%. I have a CCX with about 10,000 miles on it in 3 biking seasons here in Wisconsin. In the last month I have had issues with power going out during my rides, then coming back on. It seems to be getting worse. I think my battery is failing. It has been 3 years and only 377 charges. I was told by Juiced you should get about 800 charges out of a battery. This bums me out. I really liked my CCX.

Hey Jon, The amount of overall charge cycles depends on several variables. If you feel you are having an issue with your products performance contact support.juicedbikes.com/contact/contact-us-Bkm4GFIztfor troubleshooting.

Probably a failing motor controller or bad/burnt wire harness connection .
Is charging the battery up to 100% recommended as well or should I try keeping the battery percentage between 80-20% for longer battery lifespan?

@@juicedbikes Your not going to mention going to 100% occasionally for balancing purposes?
@BronzeLincolns81
2 жыл бұрын
Charging to 100%, even every time you charge, will not hurt your battery. The 80% rule only allows you to have more charging cycles beyond the manufacturer's charging cycle estimate. Example, the manufacturer rates the battery for 2000 charging cycles. you will get those cycles if you charge to 100% every time but you may get 2500 or more if you charge to 80%. If you're okay with the range loss of only charging to 80% you can do that while occasionally charging fully for balancing.

My question is how often should I charge to 100% to balance the cells and when I do, should I do it for more than one cycle?
I have a problem with my HyperScrambler2 the voltage marking ⚡ keeps flashing, and it does not have much acceleration it has no power in R mode

How can u charge it for hours, 30 minutes before you need it?
@juicedbikes
Жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 the time you will need depends on how drained your battery is at the time of charging and what kind of charger. A 4 or 8amp charger will charge faster than a standard 2 amp charger.
I have a 15 amp hour battery which came originally with my Juiced Rip Racer and now when I turn on the battery or attempted to it wont turn on. I have a green light on the charger and it doesn't turn red to indicate it is charging. With a multi meter I found my two 25 amp battery fuses are good but when I bring the leads on DC voltage I have zero volts on the terminals + and -. I have held down the power ON button for minutes at a time when the charger is plugged in and not plugged in. What else can I do for troubleshooting? Please help! Thanks! Hey 👋 About 4-6 hours on a standard 2amp charger.
I dropped my battery and broke the casing, it's still good but I can't use it. Can I buy another casing or shell or is there somewhere I can send it to be fixed ?

Hey Zachary, Sorry to hear that happened, please contact support.juicedbikes.com/contact/contact-us-Bkm4GFIzt for tech and part support.
How can I reduce my voltage lower than 40? My battery showed I has 2 bard left, but died anyway. I only had approximately 4 miles to reach my destination. I tried to lower the voltage below 40 on this one occasion. It would increase, but not decrease. Is there a way to override this setting?

hello. how many charge cycles are the g2 batteries? I purchased a city scrambler in 2020 with the older battery and its starting to lose its capacity. Riding in eco mode with occasional throttle I lose 2-3bars now with barely 6miles of riding. Thinking about upgrading to the g2.

So you can't allow these batteries to charge overnight, even at low amps?
@juicedbikes
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Yudo, Correct, it is not a good idea to leave your battery plugged in overnight or for an unchecked period of time. A good way to regulate how much time you are actively charging for is an oulet timer. These can be purchased at any hardware store. For additional information contact support.juicedbikes.com/contact/contact-us-Bkm4GFIzt
I have never heard of plugging the battery into the charger before plugging the charger into the wall, is this hard on the charger with energy being present on the inlet and outlet instantaneously?

Ya, just selling a charger that shuts off when fullt charged or 90% with the battery will solve lots of problems

They do, it's called Cycle Satiator by Grin.
So the batteries only actually 80% usable 🤔
@maschwerer
Жыл бұрын
Yes. That’s pretty much true for all Lithium-ion batteries, including your phone.
This video doesn't match the information provided in the Ripcurrent S Manual, which explicitly states the charger has overcharge protection. Maybe you should change the title to include the models to which this video applies, or create a new video providing correct information by model / battery type. Not being able to leave a huge battery on to charge unattended or overnight because it doesn't have overcharge protection (implied), is a battery and charger which is not fit to modern standards. Looks like that no longer applies to all models, thank goodness.
@thomasreese2816

Not leaving it charging long term is different from overcharge protection. The problem is continuously 'forcing' more electrons into the pack everytime there is slight discharge. Just don't start a new charge session when above 80%, and unplug when done.
My controller keeps jumping to 0 volts and the bike won’t move. Do you guys know what to do
