I both like and dislike this version compared to the original. Figured I’d post the remix first since I had it on my phone.

I like both, but I’ll say this: 1. The original would be better than the current version if S3 was adapted correctly 2. I do like how the original has been build up and we see the dark, unhinged transformation 3. While this version is basically a recap of S3’s transformation, I like how this one does shows the damage of his transformation and we see how powerful it is from it. 4. Can you really shit on S4’s version?

Yea it gives me mixed feelings. I prefer the og voices and the menacing aura that it had. This one is too much like a super saiyan transformation. In this versiom thou they actuallt depict the massice explosion that happened in the manga

I like both juggernaut drives, but the season 3 juggernaut drive chant is so terrifying

Okay as much as I love the Hero Sub, that “JUGGERNAUT DRIVE” gave me goosebumps lmao. You can literally feel the power and rage.

I understand why the author went with another studio after the shenanigans they pulled, but the change in art direction, sound design, and aesthetics basically sunk the show. When I first watched the last season after watching the others, I remember openly saying "what the kcuF is this?" because it was so different and subpar.

That’s what lead the creator of the series to change studios due to season 3

The only thing missing in this scene is where they say yet you always chose the path to rule/conquest

its cool hearing Ddraig call it out at the end and also cause he is the voice of almight

season 4 of this anime made me understand that sometimes when an adaptation is "far from the canon"... sometimes that is good. i like how they threw away original creators idea. not even kiddin wtf was that guy on when he wrote this shit

I have to disagree. Season 4 ep0 was a terrible retelling. It went from a dramatic and beautifully written "If I don't go out there to save him He'll die" by rias despite knowing she'd be at risk of it herself in season 3. To ​"Haha booby song calm him down" @@undead._

​@@AnimeshortsofficalIf I remember correctly in light novel after the whole juggernaut drive incident it Akeno did tell issei to recall the whole date promise and it happened the whole thing of the date we saw in season 3 in arranged reversely in time compared to light novel and there is also the rating game between gremory and sitri that was not show( they should had put that in anime😢) but on a personal note I kind of love the arrangement of events in season 3 just a little bit better than the novel

The fact he sound “ASIA” gives me chills

Absolutely awesome if they do a season 5 this transformation needs to happen

I liked the animation style and how it looks has a “more epic” look to it.

What ppl don't understand of the season 3 retcon is not this scene but what happen afterward the last 2 or 3 ep of season 3 didn't follow the LN storyline. Everything else in season 4 happens in the main source aka the light novel that also includes the change in artstyle which is the same in the illustration for the LN .

You literally can remove season 4 entirely if you wanted LN accurate. They messed up so much the studio lost the rights to even do this show. I just want the next season bc my absolute favorite arc should be getting adapted (mid class demon evaluation)

Season 3 is superior imo, the fact that the spell is so powerful and evil that the past souls of the boosted gear more or less manifest. This transformation is cool but 3 wins no diff

This scene and the orginal scene was when Asia was “killed” by the Shalba. So no tits were touched during this scene. Probably explains why issei was so angry 🤣.

Why did you have to use the special episode one? I know that the art style was good in all but the original one was way better. In the original one when Iaaei was walking up to Shalba was better, His eyes were shadow out to convey that he was consumed with rage at the lost of Asia and was enhanced by him not responding to Rias when she said his name and was furthermore enhanced when it was Ddraig who responded to her to get away. While in the special episode one, Iaaei looked more bored than in raged when he was walking up to Shalba and all the other talk and emotion that enhanced the rage scene was gone. Then when Iaaei stopped and looked up at Shalba you could see and feel the rage and power coming from his face. Then as Issai was powering up his silhouette looked epic as hell with him blowing Shalba into a wall and scaring everybody with his power while destroying the room with his sheer power alone and stopping Rias from calming him down. While in the special episode one, When he looked up at Shalba He didn't even look like he was in raged and looked more like he was just mildly pissed. While his powered up scene was just his eyes glowing and sparkling out with no power behind it and his epic silhouette is just gone. Then his power feels even weaker because he doesn't even push Shalba back into the wall or destroy the room, but I will say it was good that they kept Rias from calming him down by pushing her back and scaring everybody with his power. Then there was his original juggernaut drive transformation and voice lines which was also way better because you can see, feel, and hear the growth in power and form as he becomes more dragon-like. With each transformation motion step the voice lines followed the transformation with the perfect pace. While in the special episode one, The juggernaut drive transformation and voice lines were kinda disappointing, all he did was just stand there and look up with the camera rotating from left to right. Then when he was transforming there were only two scenes of him growing into a dragon and made even worse when the juggernaut drive transformation seem super fast paced and wasn't the sole focus because they were panning back and forth from Shalba, the juggernaut drive transformation, and Issei's friends. While the voice lines were ruined when they were panning it back and forth from the other characters respective and there were some lines that were missing from the original that also ruined it but I do like the new addition of all three voices lines coming together and the way Issei cried out for Asia.

It does make me wonder did a previous red dragon user kill god?

They said a war between the red and white dragon almost destoried the world. So I thought Satan and God tried to stop them and got killed while doing it. Because it is mentioned the red dragon has the power to kill God.

@VideoMaster40K remember in season two that Kokabeil stated that God died with the original 4 great devil kings in the great war . If it was a red dragon Emperor ,dreig would have said somthing about it. The strongest red dragon Emperor in history who would have come close to being able to pull it off would be beelzarguard and his biggest claim to fame was taking out two white dragon Emperors. Plus a red dragon Emperor wouldn't have a reason to go swinging at god .

Ngl if we got this in the olf animation..... (that and not the cringe song after this).

@@Animeshortsoffical its not that season 4 has plot holes, previous seasons were poorly adapted from the light novel, the original source of info for the anime, so even if season 3 isnt fully canon, its completely fine, its just a ``bad´´ adaptation, its not really that bad put it leaves a few things unadapted or with little mistakes that season 4 corrected, like the way issei turned back normal after the jaggernaut drive and vali´s help with that, the same with the original desgins (which are the ones from S4)

I always prefer this same scene from season 3… the original is always the best

The animation style single handedly destroyed season 4, it didn’t fit the anime at all, they could’ve switched to a similar serious type animation studio but went with a cartoony style studio which does not go with high school did couldn’t take the season serious for a second

its the canon reason why issei got back to normal in the light novels, which are the original source for the info, S3 scene only made it look better, but with mistakes like Vali going J. Drive and all of that, its not as good in the LN but that way was ``better´´ because of the context imo

It’s all subjective. Depending on how many episodes and seasons I’ll watch the sun and dub. But I won’t tell you how to enjoy anime.
