You have to be ranked top 100 to be eligible to compete at the world championships. The mongolian was ranked 98..

Definitely not an ippon against Ishihara, no amplitude or speed, Ishihara just rolled over his back. IMHO.
Actually rolling kataguruma should be scored waza ari

yeah, anything that rolls should be a wazari.

It was before. Some old Wazari are now Ippon, most if not all Yukos are now Wazari, and even some old Koka are now Wazari.
Thanks again for the highlights. A small correction pronouncing the name "Wandtke". The "t" just kinda sharpens the "d", but is not pronounced additionally. It's therefore pronounced "Wand-Kay".

I think that kata guruma is the weakest ippon i've seen. waza ari 100%.
In My day you we not allowed to grab the back of the Gi let alone the belt,But that was when JUDO was purest This european Chit screwed it

@@bd0111 83 started when I was 15 Last fight 88 Olympic trials.Fighting 2 dan.. have hung up my belts & teaching, U do the Maths
