Judging and Shaming | Brendan Buchholz | TEDxYouth@ParkCity
The environment in school is commonly one of judging, shaming and bullying. We all make mistakes, but shouldn't feel bad about them.
Brendan is a 9th grader at Treasure Mountain Junior High in Park City, Utah, and involved in the drama department.

The feelings of shame determined much of my reactions and behaviour in the world. I took on fear of judgement because I cared too much about other people’s opinions rather than my own. When my hair became thin, people started pointing it out and saying they can see my future etc, that got me obsessing about whether it was true. I took on the beliefs of others and made it my own anxiety for 5 years. The awareness is the first step, I believe, toward change
Brendan, all I can say is WOW!!! You are quite the young man from when I had you in fourth grade and in Jeremy Players. Great job! You exude a confidence in yourself to ask some great thought provoking questions. Questions everyone needs to hear and answer. People should never be ashamed of who they are or who they become and it is not anyone's place to judge others. I am so proud of you and proud of the message you shared. Mr. Demers
Such honesty and courage he holds in his beautiful blessed heart! Bravo, I hope he continues on with spreading the message of acceptance

So we judge to overcome it
Amazing.
i have always wondered , what do you get from judging people? i can undertstand in the case of criminals and corrupt governments , people will feel inclined to judge them because they are hurting everybody , but judging someone for one mistake that only affects himself , why? .

My judgments about everything, everyone and every concept will not be wrong. My judgments will not be wrong.
I will not want to stop judging everyone. I will not want to stop criticizing everyone. My judgements about everyone and everything will not be wrong. My judgements about life concepts that I need to know will not be wrong. My judgements will not be wrong. My comments will not be wrong.

Bullying is a part of life. No ammount of preaching and awareness can stop that. Its also a crutial part of growing up. It teaches you about the world before you're ever in it. It helps mold you into being a stronger person. Pressure makes diamonds.

Bullies lack self confidence, therefore feels the need to bully others to feel better about themselves. They've probably have been once a victim or have a bad upbringing. It is not a matter of whose fault it is, this is just a cycle.
