Judge orders Texas to move a floating barrier that's used to deter migrants between US and Mexico
Texas must move a large floating barrier that Gov. Greg Abbott placed on the river between the U.S. and Mexico this summer as part of the Republican's escalating attempts to stop migrants from crossing America’s southern border, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

Nobody's making them swim up to and try to get over or under it. That's their choice entirely. It just so happens that breaking the law can be dangerous.
don't mess with Texas.
Keep the barrier.

Reminder: he was appointed by your beloved Ronald Reagan. Just like how that federal judge that took out TN's anti-male-female-impersonation law was appointed by your beloved Donald Trump.
Lol the Justice Department is suddenly interested in pursuing legal avenues and rule if law at the border..😂😂 "Justice" or "Just Us"
Because the razor wire isnt dangerous to trespassers going through it to break into the US but the barrier is such a problem? Is it because the floating barrier is a better deterrent? No one made any complaints about these trespassers drowning before this barrier was put in place and many have drown because the river is dangerous.
Something has to be done to stop them from coming.this is crazy over here and so big the world is.this president don't do nothing nether.they should be send to his house and the mayor's

Except that in this case the order is lawful.
"Barriers" seem like something one would use to control a border...apparently _RAZOR WIRE_ is A-Ok. Unless the ruling hinges on an agreement specifically NOT to use this type, or that it is floating in Mexican waters, I'm unsure that the oversized "swimming lane markers" should be rejected on some specious safety argument.

Another concern is the netting strung below the buoys which is a drowning hazard should one become entangled in it. I don't know what the currents are like where the buoys are but I once swam elsewhere along that river (Big Bend) and the current was very strong.

Christians say "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you fed him for life". Then they have 'soup kitchens' giving a man a fish, for centuries. Doom is still coming? 🙏 Save me from your doom.

The situation's roots go back 120+ years. See the origin of the term "banana republic". Add in the US's policies and actions with the "fight against Communism" and the "war on drugs" and you end up with what's going on today.
Oh no. Over there people. Those are the worst. No respect for imaginary lines like decent over here people. Good on all you over here people for caring about the difference between over here and over there and our long tradition of keeping them apart. The rich men who drew those lines to indicate which regions and its peoples belonged to which rich man would be so proud to see their limited thinking perpetuated by their property.
