Interesting performance from talented Jude Law in the role of Errol Flynn..it makes us realise how much we miss Errol 's sense of fun and sheer joy of living..excellent portrayal from Jude Law in a small role which could not possibly show Errol's complex personality but fascinating and an outstanding performance. Thanks for the posting!!

Us too, lol! We once went to a community Big Band dance and no one was dancing, except these people who took all these professional classes. Everyone else was just sitting around, too intimidated to get onto the dance floor themselves. My husband and I said, "Screw it, the music and the dance floor belongs to everyone." We went out there, made fantastic fools of ourselves, laughed ourselves silly and had a grand time.

I love how they show how little Flynn gave a fuck about anything. Hughes's inappropriate behavior doesn't phase him; Hepburn's obvious disdain for him doesn't phase him, and brawling in the middle of a high society restaurant was just par for the course. ...you know that's exactly what Flynn would have been like.

Flynn was a controversial figure, far from perfect in many ways and one of the most complex characters I have ever studied. His dark side, mentioned on here is well documented, Alcohol, Drugs, Teenage girls, Brawling and a reckless thirst for adventure, all of which sent him to an early grave. However his surviving daughters remember, when they saw him, a doting father. Nobody will ever light up an Adventure movie like he could,Charlie Sheen eat your heart out, your movies will not be Classics

I did not mean to insult & was referring to an era when some English sounding accents were referred to as Colonial. Many years ago I met an old Tasmanian called John, who sad that the old Hobart accent sometimes sounded English but has largely vanished over the years. He went to school with Flynn & told me Flynn was a fun rascal. J.Law sounded too English. I should have stated that 'Colonial' was often how Errol's accent was described in the 30's, no offence was intended, especially to Errol.

I'm not sure about the peas, but the blue color came from the lighting of the camerawork I believe. Martin Scorsese filmed each period in this movie using the film design from that year. Earlier color films had a more blue hint at that time. As the movie goes on into later years, the camerawork gets brighter and more vibrant.

@RoxxtheOldies2 he was never convicted, all I can remember is that the case was thrown out because of either insufficient evidence and the witnesses kept changing their stories and their minds about what happened and if anything did, in fact, happen. It's been a while since I've read about it so I can't remember exactly but it was a very confusing case.
