I've met him, he's a very good conversationalist.
It’s fun to watch how the band changed from the Rocka Rolla performance on the BBC 1974 to this performance now.

I'm got here looking for new version to see this very thing! Great stuff!
I like Rob's attitude. You can tell that he's got nothing to prove to anyone, doesn't need to put on a show for anybody. He feels comfortable doing what he wants, talking a bit more, singing the song he wants to sing even if it's a long overlooked one. Normally I'm very critical of new band members but Judas Priest ist the exception. I wish though that they and Ken would reconcile. They haven't much time anymore before it's too late and life's too short for arguing that long.

agreed- I was a fan back in the vinyl days and for me those albums was the product of everyone pictured on the back, so in my mind THEY are Judas Priest- so each one has earned their place and belongs to the the group. I would be disappointed to see when they had a different drummer, because the old one was a part of and so belonged. Now of course folks will have their own politics, and old friends can become enemies- that's life, and their own business- however, a fan is part of that business transaction, so, in a small way we still have a right to our expectations. But then again, you cant please everyone and just do what you want to do. Personally, I try to keep my doors open- I dont want to leave having regrets- and money means nothing in your dying hours Rock Forever

I am afraid K.K said something that deeply hurt Rob Halford and it was not anything about Rob. It was even more something about Glenn, that is Rob's very close friend
I hope God will give Rob Halford many more years in this world ( assuming he still wants to tour ) that man is not just a national treasure he's a world treasure and I'm not ready to live in a world without him...

The way he's singing this song today is just insane. He made me cry.

Great to hear it live, however, I think it would have been more interesting if he dug up the harmonica he used on that album. I forget what song.
This range is where I love Rob's voice, low-mid range, beautiful and powerful, not over the top voice.

wow, I bought my first priest album in 1983 as a 14 year old headbanger and eventually bought all from rocka rolla thru turbo. they were my favorite heavy metal band but as I grew into my lator teen years my taste grew into thrash and death metal. I'm now 53 years old still listening to Priest, Slayer, Obituary and introduced it to my kids and soon grandkid

Einfach göttlich diese Stimme ! Selbst im gehobenen Alter hat Rob immer noch nichts an seiner Stimme verloren ! Er rockt wie in frühen Tagen.. 🤘🤘🤘 Rob is the Mastervoice of Heavy Metal Hail Judas Priest
Great side of Rob's personality showing.
Rocka Rolla is a great music !
Watch Rob sing this on the old grey whistle test-a sign of things to come-I love Priest-class UK metal!
I saw Priest in Charleston, WV back in March. This is the song where the edibles started to kick in hardcore. Good times!
Grandpa Halford still got it!
That Slayer-like intro riff, then the harmonies, then back to the riff. AND the solos. I grew up on this and it seems I'll die with it.
Immortal.........British Heavy Metal forever....Kind regards from Germanistan
First time Ian Hill and Halford have ever shared a microphone

I've seen them 7 times throughout the years. Every time it's a face melting bludgeoning. I've loved them since 1977, that's a long fucking time. I wish we could go back and do it all again.
Dio has often been cited as the singer whose voice never died, no matter how old he got. Rob, too, clearly has that gene. For anyone that has not been fortunate enough to see JP live in concert, do not deny yourself that opportunity. I saw them 3 times in their prime and they remain 3 of my 10 fave concerts, ever. Also in that list: Scorpions, Dio and Metallica (with Cliff Burton)

Eric Adams from Manowar is the same! Much like Rob and Ronnie (his childhood friend) his voice has aged, but aged VERY well. We're so lucky to have so many talented singers representing our genre against all the others Joey Belladonna from Anthrax is another underrated emperor of metal who's aged like a fine wine
@hinjurock70

@hinjurock70

Rob does indeed sound very good for his age, but he sings quite a few parts in a lower pitch now, and Dio used to have his solo band tune down to accommodate his declining high range - I have a video that was filmed in 2005 where he and his band performed the Holy Diver album in it's entirety and they were tuned down to C#.
@StaticYonder
2 жыл бұрын
@@hinjurock70 Yeah, I think older singers do that for tiredness reasons, not range. Ronnie could still hit a C6 when he had cancer (with Bible Black) which is at the very top of his range. The problem is singing high for a whole show, day after day on a tour, sometimes it's got to be tuned down to make sure he can sing every night and not tire himself out
Cool, superstars in a Club the Sound is so brutal and raw
Immer noch fantastisch!!!
That was kick ass! Old school 70s Priest is so good!
I love seeing this. Never thought I'd see RR performed live. I also dig seeing Priest (Halford especially) so laid back in concert and chilling. Wearing shorts, hands in pockets yet showing everyone how it's done.
Wow loved it all Priest shows should be like this from now on Rob looked like he was having fun and he should

It's sad that they don't play, any song from Owens era. I mean, imagine Halford's version of "Cathedral Spires", or "Bullet Train". But beside that, great that they played something from beginning.
