pure religion according to the scriptures is to keep oneself unpolluted (spirutally) by the ways of the world. In other words pagan and heathen man-made religion which opposes Torah. Yehoshua spent three years magnifying the Torah and seperating it from Pharasaical man-made traditions and burdens. Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law [TORAH] or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to FULLY PREACH (Greek: pleroo) them. Mat 5:18 For truly, I say to you, until shamayim (pw heaven) and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law [TORAH]until all is accomplished. Mat 5:19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of shamayim (pw heaven), but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of shamayim. Mat 5:20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of shamayim (pw heaven).

Christianity is also no religion but a divine life lived. What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand. God created us according to His own image and likeness. Godly. Mankind/the first Adam fell. The image of God in man got lost. That's why there is all this predicament on earth (selfishness, greed, lust, wars, sicknesses, death, etc). We are all born into that mess. For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ. With His own once and for all perefect sacrifice, He paid the debt for the fall of man for us, so we can be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. An amazing act of grace and love by our creator. That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all and walked in unselfish love. And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding, power and transform us back to origin. Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come. So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand. Hence the divine healing miracles we experience. God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after in Gen 1. The image we lost in the fall of man. The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us. What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing. It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle. He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love. Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh. For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth. He said: "Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc. I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name". Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!! So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit. You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator. You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace. A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam. Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever. Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote: "As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again". "IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)" "The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power". So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing! In the shadow of Peter the sick healed... He understood too and wrote: "By Gods power (Holy Spirit) and knowing Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature and have escaped the fall of man". The divine life of the ages has been returned to us by Jesus once and for all perfect atoning sacrifice for the debt of the fall of man and His indwelling Holy Spirit in us. Jesus/God is amazing!!! Ask Him to give you revelation and change you to the way it was before the fall of man: Christlikeness. He will do so. For it is written: "the Spirit brings forth after His own kind". "I have come to give you Zoë (divine life) in abundance...."

Thank you, Rabbi! I am Christian and I also agree that nothing in the either the Tanakh nor the Old or New Testament says anything about religion. You and I will disagree that Christianity is a religion. For many of us it is a belief system or a faith, quite like Judaism. By the way, we Christians are also very bad at "religion." I understand and agree with your impression of Christians as trying to get spiritual benefits from G-d. However, that is an aberration of our Faith and it comes from being the imperfect, misguided humans that we are. Pure, authentic Christianity is nothing about that. Jews believe in the Torah and Mt. Sinai and serving G-d. Christians believe in the Torah, Mt. Sinai, Yeshua the Messiah, and Serving G-d. We both believe our sole purpose is to bring Heaven to Earth. This is literally the combination of our 2 Commandments from Yeshua which are in addition to, and fully encompasses, the 10 Commandments given to Moses. It is also one of the 5 key tenets of our most sacred prayer. I very much appreciate this opportunity for dialogue. I sincerely extend to you an open invitation to visit my church outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA and you will meet many Christians who will not fit your idea of Christianity. As a mea culpa a lot of Christians are abysmally ignorant and simply antagonistic of Judaism. This is an error that some of us Christians find sacrilegious and we work hard every day in our communities to fix that mistake. Sincerely, we can use all the help we can get. Shalom!

Can you share the 2 commandments and 5 key tenets if you don't mind? So people can get educated and learn from the sources instead of having assertions without understanding the substance. I was raised Roman Catholic and came to realize just how many of the teachings (pre marital sex, birth control, monogamy, officiated formal weddings and marriages in the church and government instead of direct agreements between individuals, Christmas) were artificial interpretations in direct confrontation with/contradiction to the old testament based on human interpretations of "God's intentions", not explicitly biblical positive or negative commands "do x, do not do y". Many if these Catholic positions get parroted in all of the Protestant churches that I have ever been to, as well.

@@Alex-bn3ix Thank you for the question. First, in Mathew 22:37-40 Yeshua was responding to a Pharisee lawyer who had asked him to identify the greatest commandment , "You shall love the Lord your G-d with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." Are we able to agree that if we all did this we would have Heaven on Earth? Second, The Lord's Prayer as taught by Yeshua to the disciples 1) Our Father who are in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. 2) Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. 3) Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our offenses and we forgive those who have offended us. 4) Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil 5) For thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen. The second tenet refers to Heaven on Earth.

We have always proclaimed the Lord’s Prayer at every single mass. I am 36 and realize that if you are around my age that there are many people between 20-50 that have been very poorly catechized. The catechism explicitly affirms what our friend said about the 10 Commandments being summed up into the two greatest commandments Love God and Love your neighbor. One cannot exist without the other and by breaking one, you have broken the other. They are inseparable. The god doesn't say, "I'm going to teach you how to lead a good life as an individual person". He says, "I'm going to give you the land of milk and honey if you follow my rules I won't kick you out". And then he lays out a lot of everyday laws. Manny says that Judaism is about serving a god rather than getting him to serve you but he doesn't say why it's a good thing.

Before God created a clear distinction between the ethereal (Godly), and the physical (mundane), he had all the angels (who were perfect beings). They were created to sing his blessings and praises for forever and eternity. After however long though, God thought: “what is the point of having angels who were perfectly created to do nothing else but perfectly bless&praise me, and who are without flaw?” God created the physical world and humans, with free choice (Adam&Eve ate from the tree of knowledge even though they were commanded not to) in order to use their free will to make a conscious decision to bless and praise God and spiritually elevate the physical (mundane) world, even though they can, will, and have fallen to vices time, and time again. But that was the point. It was all so that imperfect beings (humans) will make a conscious effort to make the “mundane” bless and praise the “ethereal”.

The word Judaism comes from the name Yehudah, who was a son of Jacob. And trust me, G-d made everything in the universe. He doesnt need us... but He still wants our love.

Religion does not mean trying to get favor from God. What the hack with your subjective definition. In simple layman's words, religion means the regulation do and don't that one should do to get favor from God. You could not subtract the those do & don't just because you decide that you do not want to be religious. Plus it defeats the purpose of having a religion when your objective is for personal gain (feeling spiritual, at peace, pride &, etc) and not because you are trying to gain favor from God. You should be religious for the sake of God alone and not because of for your own sake or for personal gain. If whatever God gave us afterward that would be the gain that we received. Meaning that we want to be rich then that wealth must be from God's blessing and it must never be from the things that are forbidden from the scripture of religon. Ignoring God's regulation means that you do it for personal gain and you will not be rewarded by God once we died.

Islam is about serving Allah, and caring for His creation, submitting to His will, and being grateful regardless, for the numerous blessings He has already given us, which are already to many to count.

What man? You sound very confused. Religion is worshiping one and only true God and the last day, the Day of Recompense, the day when everyone’s account will dealt with absolute fairness. And the truth is: The Satan refused a single prostration to Adam and became a disbeliever. The nation of Mosses refused prophet Jesus and became the disbelievers. Yes He preferred the children to Israel over all creation but they disobeyed time and time again. As He reminds us again and again as He states “you stood and watched the pharaoh and his people drawn before your eyes and then took the calf for your worship “. That’s the truth about your confusion today and till the end of time.

Hinduism, Judaism, Parsi, Zoroastrian and Jainism are not religion, they are the cultures that evolved by itself. Religion is man made, the first religion is Buddhism created during the period of King Ashoka around 240 BCE after 300 years of death of Buddha, The second religion is Christianity formed after 100 years after Jesus died, the third is Islam which was formed by Mohammed himself, and the fourth is Sikkhism formed by Guru Nanak. Jesus was born in Jewish Culture and died as Jew he would have not heard the word Christianity in his life. Similarly Buddha and Guru Nanak was born in Hindu. Culture and Buddha never knew about Buddhism. When whole India and surrounding countries around India remained Buddhist Countries from 2 BCE it's was a philosopher by name Shankaracharya 7 CE reverted India back to its own Hindu culture, he propoagated that every one has the right to their own belief they can believe in Buddha, Krishna or anyone and he was against monolithic belief put an end to Buddhism in India. He sad monolithic society would destroy the cultures, and teaching of old Saints and scholars, and would dictate individuals to follow only one path which is not good for a society, he supported diversity and secularism. The Name Hindu came from the river Indus, Alexander who invaded India in 3rd BCE named people living across river Indus as Indues, and the Persians who traded with India pronounced in their accent as Hindus and European countries called those living across river Indus as Indians and so India.
