After years of feeling this way i finally know the meaning of this song. the girl in the first part gets good grades but her parents never notice. she feels unloved and this collar around her neck is unsatisfied and needs more to feed on. she loves someone and tries to get them to love her back. but yet the collar wants more. this collar symbolizes not feeling good enough, her mindset that nothing will ever impress her parents and nothing will ever steal their heart, every good feedback she gets leaves this "collar" wanting more because it represents her insecurities and how she needs more assurance shes loved. when the collar isnt satisfied or wants to feed on more, it means her insecurities are telling her "this compliment isnt enough to know youre loved. give me more, i need more." its kind of like her inner mind. she feels trapped in the end under this collars will, and pretends to be satisfied and happy even if the collar isnt.

When I found out about this song I related to it very it much it was kinda like a thing making me feel like I'm not alone BC I'm never good enough for my parents and I follow all these rules and I never get any attention from them because they're always busy or annoyed with me that I messed something up and I need to be perfect for them and it makes me suicidal and I self harm. I'm one of the good students, and I try to be perfect for my parents. They think everything I do is weird and useless like watching anime and this coronavirus doesn't help it I'm only aloud to be on electronics for 1 hour and I have to do choirs and homework all day and if I slack off a little my parents will yell at me and be disappointed in me. Every time their friends come over they refer to me as the "Golden Child" and I have to live up to those standards.

For me its prob about a child that isnt getting it’s parents attention even for how much the child is doing, or like the constant effort to be perfect for parents

there should be an anime about golden child syndrome, it honestly needs more support. it’s not popular and barely anybody knows about it.

I literally acted like the song was a movie and I was the main actor singing it.

For everyone wondering what this song means. Its about something called Golden Child Syndrome. It forms when a child is usually neglected or abused, TO THE POINT where they can and would do horrible things in order to make their parent proud of them, or show them some sort of affection. In other words, this isnt about a yandere. This is practically about child abuse. The "collar" is like..a voice almost. It craves more people to give "---"attention. It’s something around your neck, a spot thats weak, in this sound it shows the victim is feeling the pain of feeling useless. At the same time they apologize because at this point in life with this syndrome youll know youve gone insane, but dont really care
