This guy gets so much disrespect. Perfect professional to have around the club. Especially in an era of divas. Edit - I'd still argue he has the best vision of anyone at the club as well.

The fact is some players have qualities that can potentially make them successful football directors and i don’t think the suggestion that Mata could be one of them is far fetched.

The fact that you think he deserves a testimonial just shows how much your expectation as a fan has been lowered by this club. We used to give testimonials to players who helped the club achieve greatness and trophies. What has Mata achieved at United that is significant? Besides being a well-liked guy.. Don’t say Europa League.

Exactly! He's served us well, but if this club is ambitious enough, he wouldn't have been 2 years ago. Signing another contract means another year of him blocking the youngsters from even getting on the bench, let alone the pitch, and he's not even been playing well recently 🤦🏽‍♂️. We love him, but he shouldn't still be a Man UTD player.
