His passing and the way he struck the ball was always so crisp. Worst thing is, we didn't actually see the true Ander Herrera at his best, he was more of a creative player at Bilbao whereas we played his withdrawn/defensive etc. Of all the players who got contract extensions, Mata, Young, Smalling and Jones, they couldn't come to Herrera early enough to offer a decent contract (that criminal). People may argue that he wasn't the best midfielder in the world and that's fair BUT he worked for us, he worked for UTD.

Agree 99% but Herrera was asking for 300k a week and he isn’t good enough for that type of money. We do miss Herrera though

@@jamminright4384 well those reports were false, he was asking for an increase in the salary he got when he signed for us in 2014, when he was on £75k per week. If anything he was asking closer to £200/£250k, whilst I don't think he deserved that much, given that the likes of Smalling, Jones & Young were given new contracts, I think Herrera deserved a hefty pay rise.

I miss him alot,imagine him standing just behind Bruno.

@@azizazhar Even Mctominay. He creates space for passes. He is quite underrated. He also has similar stats as Henderson and Rodri. But still miss Herrera and his passion for the club😪😭😢.

In 16/17 season, the goal of Mata in League Cup against Man City was made through the cover of Herrera. I think he did an important part for that goal.

Ander Herrera Under Rated

one thing that is very hard to see on a youtube video is his work rate, most youtube videos usually shows a player skill with the ball, but his movements without the ball is great, he covers a lot of grounds when he is on the field. Great stamina, good passing, good control, not afraid to tackle, quick, agile and has good strength for his size, he is a complete package.

Assist #21 one of the most incredible passes ever, and Rashfords first touch was majestic

Wow 2 years later and I'm reposting my own post in defence of the tears Ander just spilled. I wanted to tell everyone once again that this assist was the best I ever saw for man United

He was one of the best Midfielders we had. He can pass, shoot and do dirty work without a problem. Imagine if we have Herrera with Casemiro and Fernandes in midfield.

Herreras was unlucky in the sense that Manchester United fans always wanted their midfielders to be the best but Herrera as such a good team player. I think he's do really well in this current team with Antony and Martinez. That would be a team of fighters. Bruno to a lesser degree but you can see the makeup of a passionate team right there!

I wish we got RVP early, I feel like we would have had even better moments with him and we got good coach after Sir Alex. Also criminal that we had such a baller like Mata but he was left to rot on the bench, so many things wrong with Man utd. it is crazy I still support the club with all its madness If he wasn't 33, I would say let's go for him.
