Hey Wooly Great review mate, have you tired this board in hyfy? If so which did you prefer? Thanks again

Hi mate I haven't used it in a HYFI as yet, I have one on order but as I use Futures so they take a long time. I prefer the Cobra HYFIs rather than the Aussie made ones so Im happy to wait. I have a Air 17 X, Monsta Box squash and a Monsta Box squash all coming through together so I will do HYFI reviews on all of them. I would think that the HYFI version will be better for the smaller days where you are having to generate speed and then the PU one better if the waves have a little push. Hope that helps Wooly

Hey Wooly Just discovered the channel and enjoying your reviews! is there a significant difference in the performance, wave type and user friendliness of the Monsta Box and Air17x? I am thinking about getting a 5'10 MB squash in PU and also a 5'11 Air17X squash in HYFI, is there too much of a cross over or is it worthwhile doing this? I live on the Great Ocean Road, but travel to Bali at least once a year and off to Telo next year. Just trying to get my quiver in order. I am 52, 170 cm and 73 kegs, pretty fit. Thanks Ricky

Hi Ricky If it was me I would go the MB in HYFI and the Air 17X in PU. I find the MB grovels better than the Air 17X so it would make more sense to go the other way in the constructions. I have surfed the Air 17X in larger surf than the MB. They are pretty close in length/volume, it might maybe more sense to go up to the Monsta or Air 17 performer? If you are kicking around Torquay pop by Strapper board store, I know they have a good range of JS boards. Cheers Wooly
