JRF is great idea before PhD, Eligibility and salary of JRF in IIT after Masters
JRF or Junior research fellow position in IITs is a contractual position which is great for both a professor and a student. for students interested in going for research the JRF position gives you a good idea on how the PhD is going to feel like first hand and this gives you enough space and time to decide

Hello sir. I completed my BTech. I got a JRF position in one of the IITs. And i got MTech in IISc. Which one do you suggest I choose? I'm not interested in Mtech. I'm interested in research. I want to do a PhD abroad. But without MTech degree, I'll not get PhD

@@EdSharpeneri got chance at Nit Durgapur under a 3 years projects, post as JRF, they will offer 31000. Can I quite the Project - JRF after 1 year? Or at that time I have to return 1 year fellowship? Or No chance to quite the project, without finish it in 3 year continue!!! I have few query about JRf. I want to clear this query urgently. It's not a time waste as such, it's a new skill which is similar to "Writing" or basic coding. And it is important so that you can leverage the AI tools around you. I will try and bring in a video on this soon

Could be a simple course but yes worth a skill spending some time on. But it can be learnt at a self paced level easily
