As I'm sitting here in a hospital recouvering from heart sugery I've come across you video , tears steaming down my face , its done my heart good , I'm so glad to be alive , such a heartfelt and wonderful song , thank you JP , its comforting to know there are still people like you in the world
What a wonderful performance !!! Great song incredible singing delivery and incredible finger picking technique ! I am now a fan !!!
I love the song, and for some reason I'm reminded of Stan Rogers.
One of the best ever guitarists and musicians on earth… and singers too and just about every other instrument he touches.

Thank you to JP. This is a really beautiful piece, Man!
First time to hear JP sing .... Wow ! ! ! ! !
Hi guy, good song, good performance. Thanks!
This is the first time i have heard this particular Epiphone model (Century Masterbilt) in a performance context. Sounds great, obviously a killer setup and new strings but the sound from the guitar is very nice indeed.
Nice great stuff
love it , Man !
Great guitarist. Great singer. And a big fan of Kazuo Yairi guitars as well!

Great video. I'm the current owner of this guitar! J.P. often trades in his guitars at G&G Music in Antigonish.

@@kadenmattinson Mine just needs a setup right now- I haven't gigged it in a while. Plugged in, it's an absolute canon. The fretboard and action are phenomenal- very very playable guitar
A great song and a great story - but to correct the record, the half point of the Trans Canada is at Chippewa Falls, just north of Sault Ste Marie. Winnipeg (Winterpeg) is another 15 hrs north and west...

He did say half way across Canada, not half way across the Trans Canada Highway. The longitudinal center of Canada lines up with Lorette Manitoba which is only about 10 miles east of Winnipeg.

@@apopowich too true - I guess my focus should be more on reading comprehension and less on finding something to say!!! Thanks for the assist...
Anyone know what he is playing. Headstock looks like Blueridge almost.

It’s an Epiphone Masterbilt Century Deluxe. They did 6 models in the range and this was the biggest one. I can only assume that they didn’t sell particularly well as the range was soon dropped. Shame really because they were nice guitars for the price. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnprrMGcgMisdqQ.html
I'm hearing Jim Croce.
