  I saw them in 2019, and this was their closing song; it was so profound I had to find a way to fit it to my 5-string bass. This was much easier to work with than the original, since I can work with the lowest notes on my bass and make it really growl. My version will never replace theirs, but at least it will be a tribute to how amazing theirs is.

  A great song and a great story - but to correct the record, the half point of the Trans Canada is at Chippewa Falls, just north of Sault Ste Marie. Winnipeg (Winterpeg) is another 15 hrs north and west...

  He did say half way across Canada, not half way across the Trans Canada Highway. The longitudinal center of Canada lines up with Lorette Manitoba which is only about 10 miles east of Winnipeg.
