Starring: Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu
Directed By: Adele Lim
Synopsis: The hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery centers on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure. When Audrey's (Ashley Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo's eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.

As an adopted Asian American growing up in a predominately white suburb, I feel this. Funny enough, I remember facing racism like this as a child. Two kids were calling me “China Man” (even though I’m Korean) and one of them knelt behind me while the other pushed me over. I went crying to my dad and told him what happened and he told me not to come crying and to stand up for myself. I walked directly up to the kid who pushed me and punched him square in the nose. Maybe not the best way of solving conflict in hindsight, but yeah… totally felt this opening scene.

Fellow adopted Asian-American here! I watched the movie with my mom and told her after the opening scene how excited I was that a movie like this even exists. Growing up, I couldn't find stories in movies, books, or TV that connected to this part of my life or upbringing. My brother was adopted from another Asian country and we experienced a lot of bullying and ignorant questions about our ethnicities/adoptions. But our mom was always proud of us for standing up for ourselves. She cheered when Lolo punched the boy in his face!

As someone who is adopted, idk why but when those kids said that she mustve done something or that her mom just didnt want her, it made me sad 😢 ive always heard “oh but do you ever want to find your REAL parents” and it always breaks my heart. Why cant some people just mind their business. Hilarious movie tho wish i had someone like me (same ethnicity) as a friend when i was growing up

This is messed up for me to say but you bore your soul a bit, so what the hell. I always hoped I was adopted. That one day my birth parents would show up, or they’d say there was a mixup with another baby. For context I was shy, quiet, reserved and wanted peace. Kind of hard to find in a loud, proud, Chicano familia. I was also ALWAYS told I “looked” Asian, so I held out hope for that. You were very fortunate, you were chosen, hand selected. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Literally what I needed as a child. My brother and I were the only Japanese kids in school and I would have loved to have one person to keep my head up. Sadly, I ended up being the one to keep my own head up. Still no friends.

It's never too late to make friends~ even online friends can become good friends, one of my best friends has a discord group that they hangout constantly and they are every cool (sometimes they invite me, they play games, watch movies together etc.). Just share to the world what you like and some people with similar interests could show up. Good luck on that, wish you the best at it.
Lolos facial expressions are everything! She saw he hurt her new friends feelings and she was like..nope! Uhuh!

It's one of the two movies this year to use Growing Up but both Joy Ride and Ruby Gillman were both box office bombs.
I'm a boy and I have a best friend like her. He is always protective and the gangsta' bully of the school and Im the smart kid like the other😇😇
I was adopted because my birth mom could not take care of me and I don’t know much about her but iam grateful to have my current parents and I think there great parents to have in life and I really like how the girl stands up for herself and her friend. And those kids were making fun of her but a couple years later she was really successful. So who ever feels alone out there because of being adopted don’t feel alone because a lot of us have been adopted.❤
OMG!!! Their relationship is pure gold!!! 🥺💖
I needed this as a kid 😩 my childhood best friend moved to Texas (from pa)when we were 7&8 and left me as the only black child most years. This would have been awesome 💜

This one scene is better than every other scene in the movie put together
the "do you want to be best friends?" is so cute 😭
Kid on the swing understood the assignment
As an adopted person from Korea, I have much respect for Audrey here.
That punch and kick are very relatable as a person who likes to chase boys with they’re shoe
1:34 caught me off guard
2:27 i wish I had friend that was like that 😢💔
just finished watching this movie some minutes ago, absolutely loved it
Most likely get arrested. Hahahaha 🤣
Waymenttt- the opening scene that has a red SUV on the street with the highway and the mountains in the background...thats from Dante's Peak.😂😅❤
What up first saw this I laughed out loud I was on the floor dying
I’ve never laugh in an opening scene for making me want to watch it more
I remember the same situation in school, being bullied about why I was adopted. It was kinda fun scaring all my classmates... my real parents when to jail for murder. Lucky to be adopted by a great family.
Lolo's facial expressions never miss😂😂😂and shoutout to the swing kick shorty🤣🔥
I love this child’s she’s so adorable and defend herself. Must to every child . No to bully and racism
"Most Likely To Get Arrested" killed me
Now I wanna watch this. I’ve seen the ads on Facebook a gazillion times.
Kai-Lan Chow: LOLO!!!! YOU DID IT!!! I'M SO GLAD YOU BEATEN THE BULLY!!!!
Most likely to be arrested!😭🤣🤣
Well that went wholesome as all hell
The way how the kid just instantly said a swearword without hesitation
I balled my eyes out at 2:05 that was so needlessly cruel
Ive been to a bar that had board games as long as it didnt have dice and it was infact the whitest mf bar i ever sat foot in before i turned tf around 😂😂😂
1:41 always laugh out loud when I see this. Can't get enough of it. 🤣
Do you wanna be best friends was the best part
The moment the music stopped playing you knew it was over for that bully kid.
I would describe this movie as Bridesmaids meets EuroTrip.
😂😂😂😂 that part was hilarious that boy got what was coming to him!! 😅😅😅😅

It’s interesting to see how movies tend to borrow or repurpose footage from other movies as opposed to shooting anything new, it’s a pretty cost efficient method; I wonder how these studios get the rights to use it.

*punches a guy in the nose making him get hit by a swing* “Do you wanna be best friends”

Hah that kid curses and I’m almost 13 and I don’t 😂😂
I’m adopted from Vietnam and this movie seems like the perfect movie
Still underrated and it’s my favourite comfort top ten movies ever
That boy got an authentic taste of Kung Pao Chicken 👊
Gotta watch this 😊😅
Me and my personalities fighting:
Why is no one talking about how Lolo is obsessed with showing her middle finger? 🤣
HELP SO MUCH HAPPENED IN THAT ONE SCENE I CANT-
I love how she just roasted those bullies for telling her they don’t want her
I love how this totally goes against that stereotype that chinese parents raise perfect overachiever kids💖
The way the boy flew🤣🤣
Most likely to be arrested 😂😂😂💀💀💀
damn i didnt expect this to be in a trailer
I just melted 🫠 and laughed 😂
Honestly *love* how this movie doesn't paint the Good Girl as a success and the Bad Girl as a failure, but instead show them both happy. Not everyone has the same goals in life; some people strive for success, and some people are happy just living their life freely and without worries.
This looks amazing ! 😻 I wish more kids would stand up to bullies ! I can’t stand bullies ! 😡
That’s adorable!😭❤
the way lolo double middle fingered the camera while taking the picture as a kid-😂
You may not have everything in common with someone, but when they show up for you no matter what, that's what counts
That was adorable
Lolo is my spirit animal 😂
