Joy in G-d's Concealment, Sanctifying Time and Shabbat for Non-Jews

Recorded on Rosh Chodesh, this week's Jerusalem Lights podcast # 195 celebrates the new month of the 'second Adar,' and explores the secret of the great joy that is associated with this month, which comes to a crescendo on Purim. How do we relate to Purim joy during these dark and troubled times? Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman discover that the answer is 'concealed' in plain sight, in the Scroll of Esther! Our hosts also discuss Sabbath observance as it relates not only to Israel, but to all humanity.

The way I have seen Shabbat is that I serve HaShem, who created the world, and who blessed the 7th day, so I am acknowledging Him as Creator when I have it as my day of rest.

Wow, this was a very detailed and complicated story about the way the Jewish nation keeps the Hebrew nation's lifestyle. One of my favorite reasons why I call the Jewish nation one of my favorites is because ALMIGHTY CREATOR made a people to preserve our lifestyle when we so commonly passed it up for the likeness of other kingdoms we eyes, looked upon. Just like in the garden, the woman saw the other trees, and her eyes gazed upon it with amazement and the possibility of becoming like an almighty. This was appealing, so she passed it up, living a lifestyle in paradise. So, thank you for being honest. It truly isn't as complicated as your people make it. However, the only plan in the arets(earth) is to manifest the spiritual world. Therefore, we experience our journey in out of these religious pods and finally in that day come to just living with the universe's plan..."a lifestyle of perfect love towards man and his god and his ALMIGHTY CREATOR".

Also, as a tapestry is woven, the image is unclear to the observer, however, the design is solidly in the mind of the weaver...no thread placement is an accident though it may seem random to the observer.

I light the Sabbath candles, and I do not say the blessing that Jewish women say. I say, "Blessed are You, Yahweh our god, who commanded me to REMEMBER the Sabbath and to make it holy." Holy means it is separate. I wear pretty clothes. I make better food (on Friday, as I do not cook on Shabbat). I do not go out to buy or sell. I study Hebrew and yes, WATCH on youtube only Torah learning videos. No news shows. No crappy movies. Sabbath is special, and I thank Yahweh for it every week.

I've just spent a hour watching your video Riddle of the Exodus . Unsurprisingly, no comments allowed. It is an amazing amalgam of nonsense - minor truths, what ifs, therefores, inter-dependant connections and maybes, mixed into a sum of total tosh for the unwary. I suggest the channel Kedem and its republication of Israel Finkelstein's proper biblical and archiological connections, for anyone who isn't as innocent and suggestible as YOU seem to hope. Dear, oh dear, Rabbi.

It's absolutely ridiculous to think that non jews can't keep the sabbath. Of course they can! Anyone can follow the torah!

Non jews are not allowed to keep shabbat under severe punishment. I don't know what was said in this video, but again non jews are not allowed to keep shabbat like jews.

Zahor remember (and do) and shamor guard (and don’t do)- the sabbath. Watch the video. Again, watch!! Shabbat is for all. Free will to choose for all. All humanity must rest and refresh. Seventh day is global for all - special and holy to Hashem.
