    Thank you. Usually cooked jowar little harder than cooked rice. Follow the same method to cook jowar. Adjust the cooking time based on your preference and the specific variety of jowar you have😊

    What is 'parboiled' jowar? Do we even get it at stores?

    Yes, here I found it at the Indian store. Use any Jowar which is available in your state.

    Can we use any other millet instead of Jowar & follow the same procedure?

  • @bhusanur.cooking

    @bhusanur.cooking

    8 ай бұрын

    Absolutely! Millets like bajra (pearl millet), foxtail millet, or even finger millet (ragi) can often be substituted for jowar in various recipes. While the taste and texture might differ slightly, the overall procedure and cooking method can usually remain the same. Adjustments might be needed in terms of cooking time or the amount of liquid used, as different millets absorb moisture differently. But as a general rule, you can try substituting millets fairly interchangeably in many recipes.
