@@hughmellerick4417 I’ve seen it. It’s a very good movie. I’m a big nerd though and the armors and stuff are all inaccurate but it’s done for Hollywood and it’s not advertising itself as historically accurate so it’s entirely forgivable.

Oh man you should watch "A Knight's Tale" so, which I fear was much closer to the real thing in those days. The opponents are obviously treading carefully here so as not to inflict injury, any injury... Kinda makes you respect boxers, MMAs, and wrestlers too who by comparison receive dreadful punishment for their bread.

Not really and the knights tale is not historically accurate and this isn’t completely representative of modern jousting so you should look up the knights of valour to see some real jousting

Thanks for the upload. It’s been exciting to watch! A bit sad that sir William didn’t just present himself for the strike & throw a mercy pass given he has already won even before the pass - 20:2 - (unhorsing & couple of Ferrule Strike) Would have had been more Chivalrous if he had done so. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lets joust !!! So few people know the word and doesnt even have any translation / omologue in other languages....Tradutore traditore!!! In real life in middle ages they hit those exact points so not to severely injure their opponent. That showed at the time what chivalrious gentleman they are!

1:10, what the bloody hell? Knights wear armour in jousts to avoid dying, and these bloody fools remake it to C A T C H the lance ensuring more damage. This is mad!(Fun to watch though)

yeah dude, why aren't the horses in plate armour? Not only this was how renaissance jousting was done but they could be way more agessive than whatever fake bullshit happens in this video

The horse can never and will never be hit by a lance, this is late, but the lance will always have to point their target, anything else and it’s considered foul.

al videos they drop it so they can rebalance after the hit, otherwise it would also be unfair if someone has to try hold his unbroken lance when their opponent has a broken one

They’re supposed to drop the lance so they can grab the reins and stop their horse at the end of the list. They are required to drop their reins before impact, otherwise the sudden pullback would actually injure the horse’s mouth/face.

Wtf is this bullshit math they are doing in every single one of these videos about the force?!

its simple physics. albeit the formula should've been momentum not force because "ideally" there are no acceleration during the contact, only a constant velocity.
