“Journey - Rabab to Sarod” is a classical strings album with a flavour of world music. Rabab virtuoso Daud Khan Sadozai, has been also been a disciple of Ust. Amjad Ali Khan. It’s a beautiful combination of togetherness of Daud Khan Sadozai, Amaan Ali Bangash & Ayaan Ali Bangash. Ust. Amjad Ali Khan makes a special appearance in the track Holi Mela. Sarod was formed out of Rabab and it is a Persian term which means Music. The album “Journey” describes the evolution that happened in the sound from Rabab to Sarod. Rabab has its elements in Folk & Sarod has its place in classical and world music. It is a treat for all the music lovers for having Rabab & Sarod recorded together for the first time.
According to Ust. Amjad Ali Khan, Music is a great medium of communication. The main motive for this amalgamation is to bring peace, harmony, to spread the word of humanity, love, tolerance, patience in the world.”
