Let's be real about this. Not a lot of band vocalists can still sing well and hit those high notes at Arnel's present age. Imagine the stress on his vocal chords those Journey's songs gives every night on the tour's duration. Acknowledge the talent.

True. Jonathan keeps an eye on Arnel's voice and even have a maintenance for it. Arnel can still belt out those notes for a couple of years, but he could've extend that to a decade if haven't strained his voice from the past years, around 2009-2015, i think. It was a combination of bad sound engineering (fixed around 2021) and singing routine. Arnel has a knack of stressing a note that he shouldnt do. I guess he wanted something different from SP. Bottomline, AP is a powerhouse.

I’ll acknowledge the talent when Arnel sings all the songs by himself like Steve did. Arnel is not old. Duh? There are many great singers older than him.😮

​​@@alexelle3096I totally agree about the bad sound engineering part, I watched some videos of Arnel's concert tours that the sound system is flat specially the mic he was using so he needs to belt out extra effort to release his powerful voice, that gives him more stress in his vocal chords. Just imagine the grueling tour he had to do for years and years, successive nights of singing high notes?!! Truly amazing Arnel!!👏👏👏

@@ipemontoya3609 Deen Castronovo, Journey's drummer, said that AP couldn't hear the rest of the guys clearly. It all changed when they met Sam Mendes' Sound Engineer and it all went well for AP. If there were bad gigs, its probably due exhaustion and age.

I love those clips in the background from "Journey - Live in Manila". I've been a Journey fan since 1980 and completely respect Steve Perry. But can you imagine where Journey would be today without Arnel Pineda? Arnel's simply keeping the legacy of Journey AND Steve Perry alive, and he's been doing it now for 17 straight years.

Deen kastronovo is a huge talent also. Singing and playing drums too!! So much unreal talent in this band ! Perfection!!

Arnel needs to start using 'mix voice' on the ending part I could hear him grappling to keep the high end note He's mid 50's now, with mix he can last 2 decades or more We still wanna hear your voice Arnel, Love you forever.

Arnel Pineda very gifted. Brilliant voice. Humble, loving, genuine and generous. God is love! But of course, if he sing everyday no wonder he get tired and he’ll be out of the higher note! Had to be understanding folks!

Steve Perry is 75 years old and retired. He doesn't sing anymore and hasn't been with Journey since 1987. If you want to see him live, get into a time machine and go back to the 1980s.
