I love this spread Barbie is one of my favorite movies ever

I kinda want to see the movie now. I've only just started junk journalling but have collected ephemera my whole life. Every bit of scrap, wrapping paper, paper bag or ribbon meant so much to me. I love how you work and that it's so raw sometimes. I'm now trying to get my granddaughter's into it ❤ Thankyou for the inspiration...I hope I'm not too late at 59 😊

I loved the movie, I thought it was just enough of the positive and powerful messages vs the comedic value. An extremely well done movie. Go Margot 😊

Love your journal. As a Barbie fanatic the best thing for me about the Barbie movie is just the fact that it exists and is encouraging people to play with Barbie again that would be great. More stuff for me to collect 😂 I agree about having sad parts in it and being a conversation-starter to put it nicely as there were really parts of it that I found quite distasteful. I had a very blessed childhood with a wonderful father who raised me to believe in myself and I never felt that women were held back in some way from achieving their goals so for me it felt like a bit of a man-hating movie which made me sad and I don't feel that Barbie and Ken worked well together at the end of the movie which is what I was hoping for that they would discover that they need each other rather than women having to be on top. But I still enjoyed the movie despite that I love the colorful outfits and sets and it did have some good messages. Your work is amazing. I've always thought you are one of the most talented journalers on the internet.

For me the ending message was that barbies and kens have to find their own identities separate from each other to work well together 🩷 “it’s barbie AND it’s ken” My favourite stuff to see popping up more right now is vintage barbie’s and play sets/accessories! I’ve been collecting that stuff for my daughter since she was a baby, lots of fun! 🥰

Barbies were a huge part of my childhood back when Barbie first came out. My Bff and I would play with our Barbies at each other’s houses for hours! I had the original Dream House and I showed pictures of it to my 6 yr old grand-daughter the other day. I haven’t seen the Barbie movie and I don’t think I will as I don’t want to ruin the fond memories of my childhood. Love your journal pages, especially the page with the picture of you as a child holding your Barbie.
