I love how you’ve claimed a space for yourself-the adult space! I loved this journal entry bc it reminded me how much living a creative life is very instinctual. I’m still learning how to trust that instinct and when I do, I’m so much happier. Thank you for sharing!

I feel like it’s so easy to forget to follow the instinct and get swarmed with other reasons that take some of the joy x
I admire your honesty and how you show us your vulnerability.
Love your journal covers, so unique. Glad they are selling well and that you’re kept busy. Juggling everything with a family is always a balancing act we have to keep on top of. Thanks for all your great videos
I love your newly painted pink shelf and all the pretty assorted plates/plant trays. That is so like my style! Your outside space looks cozy too, and as always, I love your journal making style, tips and previews! Your music choice is so peaceful and very much appreciated too. Its quite ok to have alot of projects going on at the same time, as long as you are not burdening yourself or stressing out over them. Do it at your own pace, and each one when the time is right for you. Your projects should give you joy, but if they stress you out, then choose your priorities and put off the ones that you feel stressed over. You’re doing a great job😁
I love your journals soo much!!!! As a child i had brown hair, lighter as a kid, got darker later in life. Ive kept my hair blue black most of my life! You'd look great w darker hair color too! Bet it would bring out your eye color!!! 💕💕👍
Gosh what beautiful plates you picked up. I have been watching your videos for the past 2 years and seen you expand your artwork. Your videos were the first videos I watched on how to do junk journals. Being a mother of 3 kids and other commitments is a lot and this will be one of your busiest times until the kids grow up. But you are doing a great job. Love this video and your created spaces in your studio and outside place. I think you are a great example of a young woman/mother and artist/crafter. Your videos are encouraging and so well put together.

Yes. I agree with you.
Love your idea of using pretty plates as drip trays for your potted plants💞
A beautiful, heart warming and thought provoking video Johanna ❤ Thankyou sincerely for sharing and yes please do make more videos like this. Love the pink painted shelf and the pretty plates you chose to use as pot plant saucers 🌸 Your hair colour is gorgeous but as someone with very long locks too, I know how tempting it is to want to try a change from time to time. As I age, I’m having to experiment more since the temporary rinses I once used for fun no longer cover the ever increasing greys and the semi permanent and permanent dyes terrify me. Plus clearly I’m not ready yet to ‘grow old gracefully’ and would prefer to turn back the clock to my former original honey blonde from childhood 😉 Very special having a glimpse of your sketch book, old books and work in progress journals. It is challenging for creative people to know what to do now and what to leave until later. How grateful I am, and I’m certain others are, that you share the results of your creativity here with us and bring such happiness to us all 🙂 xoxo
I so loved the background music in this video. So calming. Your hair is beautiful as is.😊

Thank you so much! I have been saving those covers/books for a long time ♥️
Love the way you put this together. I really connected with your comment that you have all these fully developed ideas and just not enough time to bring them to life! I think creative types struggle with this when our kids are small and need us so much, but my mom keeps reminding me to be present while they are young because there's more time later than you thought you were going to have. I *guess* that's comforting - lol! My creative ideas are in a folder awaiting their turn. Thanks for all the work you do- it's inspiring!
Your hair looks beautiful already. However, do what makes you happy, Johanna. The journals that are working on are absolutely gorgeous!💗
It was lovely to see a little snippet of your life. Thank you for sharing.
Johanna, I love how you put this video together... very clever! I would love to see more. Your pink shelf looks amazing. Well done all round.
Johanna, I loved this video. I so appreciate you sharing your journaling. It lets you know really your not alone in this world and others have the same feelings. I love the plant plates. Super pretty. Tfs❤

Lovely video thank you! I need to challenge myself to write more! Maybe even daily! I love making junk journals and hope to one day sell them too! I have way more than I could ever fill too lol Your plant shelf is pretty and your outside cushion looks cozy! I dye my hair around once a year.. holiday time it’s fun. But I don’t like to have the chemicals on my scalp to often ... Best wishes and TFS
Beautiful plates ! Our lists always seem endless. 😊

Thank you so much ♥️ so i have a couple of different resources- i have a basic cover build tutorial in my etsy store and I have the window style tutorial up on youtube for free.. i also have other cover styles on my youtube PLUS a teachable site with some other options 😄🥰♥️
Johanna you didn’t ask for any advice but I figured I could give you some information from the daughter of a color specialist and someone who has used box dye (non-professionally done) for YEARS (my mom passed away 17 years ago and I still can’t let anyone else do my hair). First off my hair is just a hair shorter then yours but has been as long when I have dyed it. My hair is a bit darker then your but also brown. Ok first off u will need 2-3 of those boxes unless your just doing maintenance and doing ur roots after the initial dye. Also your is fairly dark like mine so u will never and I repeat never want to go much lighter then ur natural color on ur own!! You can go as dark as u want at home but not the other direction. The reason is going several shades lighter will make ur hair brassy aka orangey tent and not in a good way! 😂 a hair dresser can counter the brassy with a toner but I’m no professional and don’t know the science behind it but just trust me seek a licensed hair dresser if ur thinking of going blonde or more then 1 shade lighter. My philosophy on hair is just what u said it’s just hair. You have what they call virgin hair because you have never dyed it before and you hair is heathy. Dying your hair once isn’t going to fry your hair so I say go for it. If I’m correct on my geography your exiting winter and heading into spring (I’m the opposite 😢and jealous) so getting some highlights or lighting your hair (professionally) would look great for spring and summer and can brighten us brown haired girls face a bit. If dark is the direction your thinking about heading if it were me and it’s just my opinion I would wait until fall. Again it’s ur hair and I think we should ALL do what makes OURSELVES feel pretty and happy. Honestly ur stunning and you are gonna look great if u ho darker, lighter or choose to stay the same. Just to give you a little more reassurance that ur not going to ruin ur king beautiful hair i am 44 and have to sue my hair every 3 weeks 😱 to cover my grays and I do it myself. I usually use 1 box because I’m just putting on the roots or per the instructions option 2 (all box dyes have same directions but some have different amounts of time). About every 3-6 months I do an all o we application and I have to use 2-3 boxes to cover all my hair. I would get 3 to be safe but only mix 2 and if u still have hair by end of 2nd bottle mix the 3rd that way if u don’t need u will have for ur roots in 4-6 weeks depending on how fast ur hair grows. And if u decide after u only want to do it the 1 time no worries as long as you didn’t go drastic u most likely won’t even be able to tell and won’t need to do anything else. If I do go drastically differ u will have to then dye your hair back to original color then ur done. I suggest for ur first time u dip those toes in and only go 1 shade darker or lighter. Maybe a brown/with red tint something g subtle. Then no harm no foul if u don’t love it. And remember it’s just hair and if u can dye it a different color you can ALWAYs dye it back if you don’t like it. Think of it like a canvas u paint on. If u don’t like ur painting what do we do? We paint over it! Always follow the directions on the box of course but if u follow these simple tips you won’t be sneaking to your hairdressers in the dark with a bag over ur head. 😂hope this helps with ur decision and I will say this about it … never underestimate the power of a new hairstyle or color. It always give me a little confidence boost!! Feel free to holler if u have any questions!

Bless you for taking the time to give me all this info and advice I appreciate it!! I used to dye my hair dark brown-black and i loved the higher contrast look but i got tired of the regrowth maintenance so grew it all out and told myself i wouldn’t dye it again! But here I am many years later feeling like a change might be nice! I’ve been lighter (professionally done) and darker (box dyes) and definitely think I suit darker better, but yes, still undecided! I did buy 2 boxes if I get spontaneous, my hair is suuuuper fine ♥️ thank you for refreshing my knowledge seriously you are so sweet for this xx

Hlw mam!! Can you plz make a clothes embroidery junk journal!!
Hi Johanna. Your hair is gorgeous but if you want a change go for it. If you don’t like it then it will grow out. Maybe let a professional do it though because I had disastrous results when I first colored my hair from a box. Your journals and videos are so inspiring. I am happy when I see a new one. Thank you.
