I love the way you journal using everyday items. I've just started my first altered book journal, done loads of pockets and decorated envelopes, it's keeping me busy doing the pages. I think I'm doing seasons, and hobbies, plants, loafs of ideas. I want to do some tabs so I'll watch your tutorial. I'm keeping all my familys' Etsy packages and thank you cards and envelopes now.

Love it!!! Just a comment also on the receipts. Here in the u.s. all store receipts are now printed with paper/ink that fades away in a very short time. So if I want to keep one for tax purposes or memory/journal keeping, I either scan or take a photo of it and then print it out. I like your idea too though of writing over the copy with a pen. 🤗

I really loved your 'linens' acting as little notes throughout, how clever. Like you I love including little trinkets/packaging that brings back memories of a time. Those 'sticky notes' are so cute to keep, you're so inventive in your ideas but all this journal says to me is 'treasured memories of my loved ones'......absolutely beautiful Journal. That cover is stunning.

That was fun! Inspires me to give that a go. I've saved packaging from things I like (favorite coffee etc) that need a place to live. I received a scrapbook of my mothers from around the time she met my dad. It was a joy to see what she included. Most of the pages are empty so I will likely use them in my own journal.

I found some neat playing cards at 5 & Below (for $1) that had mushroom designs and other neat designs. Also they have some journals in different sizes with nice paper for $5 or less. I usually go to Dollar Tree for most of my things. I also found a book at 5 & below ($5) called "Herbal Handbook" that has great color photos of plants/herb flowers. I kinda hate to cut it up!

The cover is sturdy book board! I have done a few experiments with tickets and receipts and found most things I tried to protect them faded them faster
