they also do this in death note. when light has memories of the notebook and who he killed, his eyes are flat, but have highlights when he lost the memories (i noticed this in the manga, idk about the anime)

I love that Josuke and Kira are polar opposites. Josuke is as selfless as they get, reflected with Crazy Diamond who can’t help himself, only others. Kira is extremely selfish, only using his abilities to help himself and only himself.

Imagine if Okuyasu was the one sent to Italy in part 5, if Giorno tried to rob like he did Koichi he would be unable to escape due to either Okuyasu teleporting after or pulling Giorno back to him, this might cause Giorno to get killed by Black Sabbath or think that Poplo was dead since Okuyasu would likely not be there to help and explain

1:14 This part is seriously just a great scene I regularly come back to, just the cold dead ass staredown, and then Killer Queen just getting the living shit beaten out of it by Crazy Diamond, its movements actually being rendered in slow motion while Crazy Diamond moves at completely normal speeds just to communicate how utterly one sided the fight was once Josuke got him in a head to head fight.

It's kinda wild realizing just how outmatched Kira is in a slugging match. If it weren't for how effective he is with Stray Cat, he'd be cooked in any serious engagement. Hell, that's why he was so terrified of Jotaro. Dude beat the brakes off him while being half dead and riddled with holes big enough to see through to the other side.

I think the reason for that is because, unlike Josuke or Jotaro, Kira has rarely, if ever, used Killer Queen in direct hand-to-hand combat. So he's nowhere near as skilled as them in that regard, as he relies on his bombs to kill his target before they can fight back

With KC he can be the only one to act within the 10 seconds of time by skipping it and can therefore change fate. Everybody after the time skip will not remember what they were doing or what they did (except diavolo). This is probably still confusing if not even more so...

Volisum that’s wrong, as King Crimson cannot escape fate. Otherwise, Doppio would have used King Crimson to skip time when he saw the vision of himself getting hurt. King Crimson only erases time, making everyone, except Diavolo, unaware of what is happening in the skipped time. That allows Diavolo to act accordingly to the situation, while others, being technically unconscious, cannot. Epitaph, the secondary stand, can see in the future 10 to 15 seconds forward, allowing Diavolo to know when he should act. That’s pretty much it, I guess. It also kinda allows him to sorta temporarily stop existing by eliminating the cause and leaving only the results, but that’s not really well explained. But the only stand that we know could overcome fate is Gold Experience Requiem, as it’s main ability is to negate any other ability that impacts his user, and renders it theoretically unbeatable, even by fate, as it will eliminate any threat. Oh, also Pucci maybe, as he can reset the universe and consequentially fate.

My favorite aspects of this fight are one Jouske didn’t take a cheap shot at Kira even though he was already in range of crazy diamond. - staying true to the his ideals in honor of his police officer grandpa and Jonathan Joe star. 2 true to his character basically tells Kira I’ma beat your ass for what you did to my boi Okyosu. - “ bring out your Killer Queen..”

Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that Okuyasu was only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do: go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Let me remind you that Joseph was literally dead (DIO drained *all* of his blood and we know that Vampires draining people kills them because we saw that in Part 1 and we saw his ghost) and Jotaro brought him back with a Stand that can't even heal. JJBA is like 70% bullshit.

0:50 this might be my favourite confrontation in all of the anime so far. So good Edit: just realised i used confrontation just like the top comment, oh well.

Watching this for the first time had me in awe...the staredown between Kira and Josuke with that epic background music hyped me 10 times more than it should've absolutely amazing work

I love that Kira is actually not very formidable in close quarters owing to the fact that he's pretty much evaporated regular people and not really needed to know how to. That, or booby trapping objects like how he killed Shigechi. Shigechi would also technically have been the ideal person to defeat him solo because KQ would easily be overwhelmed by the hordes of Harvest... Shigechi just was too cocky and didn't have the battle sense of an older person

Shigechi only really lost because didn't realize that the only way out was to immediately go for the kill shot. He could have put the guy down in seconds.

josuke absolutely demolishing kira and beating his shit in so easily when it actually comes to a fist fight actually makes plenty sense with more context of how much combat experience he actually has ( ex: crazy diamond's demonic heartbreak )

Shoulda ended here with bite the dust taking josuke back in time to push the car in the snow and beat Kira there.

@@vizaloron9242 or at least walk away. I’m pretty sure Kira was in better condition to walk away than Josuke was, with that pole in his leg. He’d outrun him for long enough

Something I've come to appreciate is that Kira isn't an unstoppable force like DIO or Kars. He's pretty much on, if not, below Josuke's "power level". Because even with his ability to make anything into a bomb, he lacks combat experience due to making efforts to avoid it at all cost, intelligent as he is, Josuke's been in more direct combat encounters than he has, not to mention CD is faster. The exchange only turned out the way it did because Stray Cat wanted to protect himself. Tl;dr Kira feels just as human as Josuke, one that makes mistakes and struggles quite a bit unlike DIO and Kars who probably could've won if they didn't fuck around and additionally found out.

I love how sound is used here. Killer Queen's strikes sound fast and powerful and with how weakened Josuke is you think he's in danger then you realise "Oh this is the guy who fought Star Platinum on the defensive... and almost won."
