In 2003, British soul singer Joss Stone stunned the music world with her much-talked-about debut album of covers. The fact that she was just fifteen when she recorded The Soul Sessions seemed incredible: Stone’s voice sounded nothing like a teenager’s but was reminiscent of a seasoned singer who has spent years in smoky nightclubs. It’s no wonder that The Soul Sessions has become a modern classic. Eleven years and a handful of albums on, the count is eleven million albums sold and the soul singer is still performing and producing new material. In 2015 her latest album Water For The Soul was released. The year before saw the start of her ambitious Total World Tour: her aim is to play a concert in every country on the planet. This is her fourth appearance at North Sea Jazz; she made her Dutch festival debut there when she was eighteen.

Voice quality, great performance, beautiful, elegant (the luxury of simplicity on stage). Joss Stone is realy true. She doesn't need special effects on stage because her charisma is natural.

she walks around all over the stage for most of the show.. it's not like she's behind it the whole time.

She's ALWAYS done that, you might as well complain about her being barefoot, swearing or smoking pot.
Joss is a fantastic singer, but this time she spent a lot of time on self-promotion seen a thousand times at her concerts, and forcing the audience to sing along with her when there is no need for it. We would like to listen to her singing and not her "mischief" on stage.

Joss has repeatedly stated, she gets pumped when the audience is SUPER RESPONSIVE with singing with her and call & response, and when ... Joss is pumped the audience gets the BEST SHOW she can give.
