Ogdoadic has 1 card combos that can stablish the link 4 + link 5 + ogdoabyss + draw 2 in the ep + full ogdoadic engine.

I think the new lvl 4 monster is helpful in making a more pure variant of the deck with small complementary engine, encouraging you to run more handtraps and the end phase draw could be helpful in avoiding drawing into 1 of cards that you would search during the combo. The new Link 3 is an option for turn two plays instead of the original Link 3 which searches a trap, niche but still somewhat useful. I love this archetype but it’s still gonna need more support (either direct or indirect) to have strong enough plays for the meta.

You'd think so, but one of the archetype's end board pieces locks both players out of monster effects in hand. You don't have to use her, but otherwise your endboard is 2 destroy-based interruptions. Very strange choice to make this new level 4 draw in the end phase... guess they're leaning hard into the pure recursion focus

raika is an extender engine. you set up before you use the raika stuff, then do full link climb combo. you also dont get locked into rep/plant/insect if you dont use the special summon effects of the links or Marikoube

The level 4 works with Traptrix fairly well, so that's neat

this card is actually an usable card in traptrix as an extender and idk how but if you banish it it's draw 2 for next turn or draw ht. still not figured how to banish it but raika traptrix ight be a thing. not at top tier but playable probably

I wrongly read Rikka in the title and was scared for my life.

Bonjour, en tant que joueur reptile depuis longtemps. Le niveau 4 c'est une bonne carte. Car, elle règle l'aspect brick des mains. (Permet de SS les 2 gros reptile ogdoadic obligatoires dans le deck). +bonne extender +niveau 4 (intéressant pour le deck) +etc... Le second effet s'active à coup sûr car on à besoin de banir des monstres (reptile/plante/insect) pendant la combo. Et en moyenne sa pioche 2, parfois 3 en fin de tour.

For the banish effect, actually many cards used in the beetroper/insect deck banish from GY, that can be easily triggered.

....these have gotta be playable in something.

So far Rikka's are using it in the OCG.

Raika is actually really cool, cant wait for Alien raika, now i can get the rank 3 link out so much easier

I wanna see if anyone incorporates these with rikka/plant combo. RIKKA RAIKA sounds pretty cool lol

​@@giftedhippos Are you for real? Rikka sunavalon can end on a omni negate, compulse, quick effect tribute a monster, two monter negates and a tribute for cost out of 1 normal summon. If you open any piece of the rikka engine alongside loci you can even end on either naturia rosewhip, cactus bouncer or rikka sheet, depending on your situation. The issue is not the end board, it's the fact that you barely have extenders, multiple commonly used hand traps stop the deck completely, if you don't open hand traps and board breakers you are dead going second because just getting rid of loci ends your turn 90% of the time etc. Once the deck goes off it can put up quite a fight, but starting the engine is the issue most of the time. Edit: My bad actually. With the new aroma support the deck can reliably end on all of the above mentioned + sheet. A quick effect snatch steal with a tribute for cost attached. Pretty crazy ngl.

That's why I believe ​ @TruePartyKing suggested playing the raikas as extenders instead. I am not sure how it would work, but rikka locks us into plants with snowdrop, konkon and petal, so it would be pretty tough. The aroma support was a step in the right direction though.

Raika gonna run the show in infinite forbidden. The lv4 is stupid busted… so now you end on traptrix sera, traptrix rafflesia, raika link 4, their Icarus attack and a draw 2. Then the full translation hits… fuckin Konami ruining good things

As an Aroma and Traptrix player, all I see is more extenders for my smelly plants.

While I think drawing in End Phase isn't good for combo, there might be a world you just do it, like heatsoul or regained.

Infinite Forbidden looks very promising! And when Konami makes a new reptile archetype, I always has Snake Rain in my head.

You mean Traptrix support?

Bloom gets the Seed, then Seed gets the Hime and another card, the Hime is always banished. Seed also grabs the Hime back from banish zone to rebanish it.

Imo they are trying to recreate sunseed. They want an archetype that can support and enable other strategies, not one amazing all on its own.

Its trash as the draw effect is during EP, this deck can not compete with meta sadly...

The Raika link 4 stops you from using Monster effects in your Hand. Great synergy with handtraps i guess.
