Josh would have done better if Mark wasn't constantly making fun of him and riding his ass. The camera played a part in how much of a goof he was made to look like. After Mark fired him and gave Alyssa his job, Josh went into heavy truck repair and he busts his ass. Holly... I don't know... I think one of 2 things happened... she got sick of getting hit on by Mark, or someone else got sick of it... but who knows, maybe that's the way it was made to look on camera...

In regards to Josh and Darren they helped to get the show started, but like anything else you always need to make changes for improvements. Will and Dave were both great additions. Could they all have worked together? Each to there own. For me, the only disappointing issue that I have is there are no truck rebuilds to OEM "Little Red Truck" would have been a great part of any season. That Old Yellow Dodge Parts truck or whatever they do with it, always catches my eye on every opening of the show. Keep up the good work, look forward to see more.

They didn't really though. They look cool, yes but ask people who actually owned dodge cars back then and they tell you, they rattled and rusted apart. Very poor quality cars overall. You can go to car shows and museums to see original Dodge and Plymouth survivors and you can see how poorly these cars were put together. The ones restored on this show are put together far superior to how they left the factory. They work many hours lining up panels to make them look decent.

@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism I own a 1964 Dodge 440 sedan that is for the most part unrestored except for paint and normal service.Every time i get a chance to ride along in another classic car i compare them to my Dodge and honestly i think it's more a question of era and how the cars is used, if they were so bad then why did people buy them? You have to realise Mopar or Chrysler pushed technology forward when other brands didn't (unibodies, alternators, torsion suspension, reduction gear starters, circuit board electronics to name a few were Chrysler firsts. It is allways safer to play safe but you'll seldom get a head of your game. Muscle Mopars were faster and cheaper than the other brands so who cared if they rattled and rusted.

@@moparlarsson You're taking a classic car for a ride once in a while. Big difference between that and using it as your daily driver. My father had a few of them, not because so much of choice, but simply because he was poor and either they were hand me downs or what he could afford. At the time, they were not old run down cars. They were under 10 years old / around 100k miles and he said they were absolute trash cars. He liked the little duster with a 340 in it, for fun. Had a charger (68 or '69) and I dunno what else. I've spoken to lots of boomers who had dodges over the years and it's very common, they were known as rattle cans and many of them called them absolute junk, they could hardly keep feeding them enough parts just trying to keep them on the road.

Yeh I’m a Ford guy, 1978 it was Olds and Pontiac. We tend to start out with parental castoffs so I started out as a GM guy, I have just purchased my 124th car, not bad for just some dude, meaning I’m not a lot or business just consumer, I went to Ford in 78. I have owned Chrysler products as well, one you might find of interest, A 1970 Plymouth road runner convertible, it was blue with white interior and top, it was automatic, rare enough but it had an AM 8 track ( no FM )and was air conditioned, I know it was rare enough, if I remember maybe it was in the 800’s?it also had one motor I quite respect, the 383, one of my bucket list cars is a black Dodge Charger 1968 with 383, I mean since I don’t have a printing press a 426 or 440 would be cost prohibitive for me, I have been a car show judge for 3 years in the Mustang class, watching your work helps develop a criteria with which to judge cars, I once had to give a 1971 Cougar 2nd place because of aftermarket rims( which I prefer but not in a stock class) it was a black 429 with red interior and 4 speed. The guy actually worked his butt off and bought it in high school and still owns it, I have had ran a cable access show for 12 years cruise night I really liked the 63-65 dodge Plymouth midsize cars. I also have many vintage car ads many molar, keep up the good work car guys all respect you work regardless of marque loyalty. All you get now is silver 4 door front drive, I just bought an 1988 Ford t-bird sport coupe 302 dual exhaust 70 thou one owner miles and parts are difficult, I propose as car guys we should halt programs which took many cars off road, things like cars for clunkers, also there was a program that tried to stop Hollywood from destroying desirable cars, I mean how many Torino’s and Chargers do you think were sacrificed just to name two. There was a great car scrapping in 1918 to induce new car purchase. Sadly our offspring can never have what we had car guy speaking, there will be SUVs and pretty much that’s it, luckily we have Mustang Camaro and Challenger butI hear GM might bag the Camaro, so marque loyalty doesn’t count for much these days, I’m 63 so I remember looking out on parking lots in the 60’s and 70’s and most of the cars had potential I mean read 2 door V-8 mid size, these cars are all but gone and are immovable car dealers tell me, these cars are tough sells, I actually see vintage bodies put on Tesla remains, my gut is telling me electric cars are going to get bigger, yet, so in closing my 3 bucket list cars? 1961 Chevy impala red, engine? 283 or 348 next the 1965 Ford Galaxie dark blue, engine? 289,352? And last that black 68 charger with 318 or 383, any one of these cars are great candidates for resto mod, in closing yeh don’t forget my Avanti

As much as I LOVE Mopars, AND the wonderfully knowledgeable GYC peeps, and extremely entertaining GYC episodes, I noticed that in generel, perhaps GYC should probably have fired who ever it is, making these "episode titles" ALONG with Darren, who truely was super-duper annoying!

  • @ZealousDragon

This would be such a great show if they would title the episodes with words that truly describe the episode instead of click bait, and remove ALL the fake drama. I am a FORD guy and admire Mark for all his knowledge and truly enjoy learning about the Mopars, but this scripted unnecessary drama really ruins an otherwise great show.

I've tried watching 3 or 4 of these videos, and have come to the conclusion that they're simply a recreation of the Grand Daddy of these types of shows....pioneered by Boyd Coddington. They have interesting topics that stand alone (muscle car rebuilds, technical information, etc.), but somewhere along the line a producer or director decides there's not enough DRAMA. So added to the show are a few different personalities....The Bully....The Dumbass....The Whiner, etc., etc. Then, over time, the show slowly becomes less and less about the technical....and more and more about the DRAMA. And as the ratings begin to fall, they never seem to figure out that it's because they strayed from the initial concept, and went with the "easy"...stoopid gags, mock fights....basic soap opera BS. Then...just like Boyd Coddington and his show....they disappear into the "dustbin of history". So for those who enjoy soap operas, and "kooky gags"....enjoy!! But I'll not be fooled again....as...I'm out 👋😎

I watched all of these shows on TV. Sucks it was click bait! Mark knows his stuff, but he's a know-it-all, and a show off, and that kinda makes him a prick to people. Darren was a jackwagon from the get go, and I'm sure that was for the show. Josh, come on now, too easy!!! Royal, and Dave were the only two that just wanted to work on cars!

Cracks me up people can't get the idea that Mark Wormans "shtick" is acting like a narcissistic know it all. It's simply part of the show. It's called acting. Although this is a show about MOPARs getting restored, with detailed information, it is a TV show and although these people are really working, they are still actors iin the show. There are other people working there doing other work as well. The show actually takes place at Welbys Car Care, which Worman bought. It takes about 100 days to film a season so there are 265 other days when a lot of the work goes on. However, the bantering with Daren was real. Those two ended up not like each other at all and I for one was glad Daren left. He was the real ass of the show in the beginning and I wouldn't be watching the show if he was still on it.

I love the Mopars. I love that Mark has taken the time to make “OE” really mean something special. But I HATE how he MUST rub his staff’s noses in it. Mark thinks he’s funny. But when his staff is always the butt of his “jokes”, it’s not humour. It’s narcissism.

Darren used to do a good job of keeping Mark's Giant ego in check....I can easily understand his frustration of seeing valuable OEM parts being pirated off of his Challenger....I'd have DECKED Mark more than a few times if I had learned my car was being pirated for parts. Seems like after Mark's & Josh's departure the cast was filled with "Yes Men" to fuel Marks Ego....I guess Josh and the Daughter had some kind of marital "falling out"...That's always a tragedy when children are involved....Lost interest in the show and Mark didn't bring the 71 Six Pack Cuda back to life....That job was farmed out to AMD....So be honest....It was a job beyond your capabilities. I've also seen a 426 HEMI assembled by Mark with cast aluminum pistons...From Chrysler they were forged!...I actually had to do a double take on that build...WHY would you?....Guess if the car is a "Fairgrounds Cruiser" that might be OK....I'd NEVER let a body shop do an engine restoration on my Musclecar....The guy with the AAR Cuda was SMART! I'm no body guy but, I do pretty good at assembling motors transmissions & drivetrains....

The show is Great 👍 the only problem is Mark thinking and constantly saying he is the best in the world/America... well he is good can't deny him that....but there are others like myself that have been working on and restoring these cars/trucks for the better part of 35 years...but when you suffer from little man syndrome you over compensate for things....not saying he or any of the guys working there aren't talented because they are and Mark would not be where he is without these people facts....so if he would stop insulting the other people that do this work to these cars that would be nice....just saying some time he should send some of his cars to be judged and appraised for point restoration...and I can guarantee he would loose points for over- restored.......I still have original paint in gallons from 67-71 lacquer..out of old dealership

Mark is able to to laugh at himself. That's genuine comedy.
