This goes to show how SMART, Josh is!!! When I decided to stan SB19 it's because of how gifted and talented they are! After a much needed initial deep dive (that every new fan does or should do) I realized that these 5 young men are upstanding and really great humans! Josh is special because to me he had the most struggles and challenging childhood. As an educator, bilib ako sa kanya finished only organized education up to 3rd grade and did the equivalent of GED here in the US, ALS (alternative Learning System) in the Philippines to get a High School diploma. A HS graduate who thinks, speaks and acts like a highly educated person! I'm so glad that all the bad experiences he had did not break him! He is so worth stanning! 🤩🤩🤩

Si Josh pwede maging life coach ❤ hindi na niya masyadong dinetalye yung painful parts of his life para di siguro maging mabigat yung episode. He focused more on the now and the future. Di na siya nag dwell sa drama… 🥹

Salamat SB19 for setting the bar high. Galing talaga ng artistry ng bawat isa sa kanila. Solid. Tama si Jashkalen, dapat hindi basta basta sinasalang ang artist para hindi puchu puchu. Pinaghahandaan ang performance at pinaglalaanan ng disiplina. Just like what Pablo said, hindi minamadali ang art.

This interview made me admire josh not only as a member of sb19 but as a person who perservered to be where he is now. Sobrang nakaka inspire tong whole episode na to. Kudos to the interviewer for asking well thought questions ✨

That’s maturity. Going solo to express their individuality is good for them and their group. It is also notable that their group is matured and secured enough to allow each member to grow also as a person and artists outside of their Group. Very healthy attitude!

This is the reason why I also love Josh aside from being Stell biased, I also love this guy too kase bukod sa Pogi din talaga sya, I love how he speak and how he answers even the complicated questions. Plus I also really love how he supported and admire Stell the way how he vocally said na idol nya dn talaga c Stell Mula pa noon hanggang ngayon. I have so much respect for this man. After all the hardships, He is destined to be great, not only gifted physically but as gifted as his other SB19 brothers. He also made me laugh so much on there clips or shows. Very handsome young man, very kind to the eyes on all their MVs. I can see him as an actor as well.

He's not my bias pero I am always astonished every time he speaks kasi palagi talagang may laman. He knows the right words to say. I love the idea na he's so willing to learn things to improve himself. Galeeeeng! Pansin ko din na super improved na yung vocals niya when singing ballads. Keep it up Josh!

@dougbrocktv, you really bring out the best from your interviewees. The eloquence of Josh really surfaced in this interview. Even Felip or Ken Suson, who seems to be a man of few words, was also very articulate during his interview with you. But of course, we cannot also discount the ability, the intelligence and the wisdom of the SB19 boys. I’ll wait for the interview of the three more. I can now imagine PABLO sharing a piece of his genius mind, STELL’s eloquence coupled by his humor and witty lines and of course JUSTIN’s professionalism, graciousness, well-mannered demeanor along with his very youthful aura and not-so funny jokes that makes him so endearing to fans like me

I think josh often misunderstood by many as he has that strong aura but he is very soft very loving caring person I love him I respect him so much.

Josh is a straight forward guy but one thing i noticed the most is he's very sensible and that i think it's because of all the experiences and hardships he had in his younger years. I also really like it when he said he chose Ken and fought for him to be part of the group. And it's really nice to hear how he described his brothers too.👍

what a wisdom josh 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 matured, wise & smart. I loved the interview so much. the interviewer is a good listener too & intelligent/ humble.

(TL;DR - as an OT5 and a BBQ at the same time, sobrang bilib sa isang Josh Cullen. Grit and hard-work goes long way! (Long appreciation post 🙈) No doubt, this interview will make you appreciate Josh Cullen. I am new to this fandom and I admire all of them. Never naging pop music fan, genre ko talaga eh alt-rock/post-hardcore, pero iba talaga sila eh 😂 They are the testament of hardwork, perseverance and tiwala sa craft, sa grupo at sa sarili. Lahat sila magaling in their own way, but to me, si Josh ang pinaka malupit. We know that Pablo is an ever genius leader, he already knows his passion for singing and writing from the beginning, evident naman sa simula pa lang ng karera nila, di ko rin sila ma-appreciate as a whole if not because of his songs. Stell has always been the powerhouse of talent, naturally talented talaga, sya nga nagpakilala sa akin sa SB19 sa sobrang galing nya kumanta at sumayaw (aminin nyo, sa inyo din 😂). Tapos si Justin has always been the most artistic, creative and big brain ng behind the scenes and so glad that he took the right college course kasi that amplifies his talent talaga, and for sure hindi lang pagiging PPop artist ang maabot nya (ifykyk). And for Ken, he always knows his love for singing and pursued his malupit na dancing skills because he struggled at first in finding his own sound dahil sa unique nyang vocal range, pero kita mo naman kung asan na sya ngayon. But why Josh? Because his achievements today makes me realize that even if you do not know YET what you want, do not have YET what you need or do not have the same privileges as the other people around you, as long as you keep moving, improving and acknowledging your weaknesses, you will definitely get there! Kahit gaano pa kahirap or walang kasiguraduhan, you will get there. Diba, he was not the best singer or dancer sa kanila before, but his GRIT is undeniably strong and kita mo naman sobra sobrang improvement nya ngayon. He seems like 'mayabang', 'maangas' or 'bad influence' pa nga daw ng group, but I know it comes from his experiences. I bet if he chose to be a different person, he will not be recognized or even them as a group. He is what he is because of the challenges, mahirap maging malakas kapag pinanghihina ka ng mga sitwasyon diba? We may only know tiny bits of his struggle or even trauma, pero sobra kong na appreciate yung lakas nya. I do not see it as negative, but instead a result of a strong-willed person at mahirap gawin yun! Kita mo naman, 2023, released 4 solo songs and MVs and he is now nominated in several awards tapos his fan service is ibang level din, softy in his own way. Ahhhh! 👏 Kaya this 2024, I really wish all A'tin or even casuals will get to appreciate them and of course, Josh more and praying na gaya nya, ma-manifest din natin yung mga gusto natin mangyare this year through prayers and GRIT!

What’s good about Josh is that he is not afraid to take the risk. He invested his resources and money even if he break even or even lost money for a good cause. Wow, that is so brave. “No pain, no gain,” Josh shot his music video in Hollywood, L.A. This broadened his horizon as far as reaching out to the international audience. Let’s face it, if he put hinself in a box just like most Filipino artists has been controlled by their management to stay in their comfort zone, then an artist end up reaching only Filipino audience. I am so glad o chose him as my bias. He is so smart and resilient and not afraid to fall because he’s been there. I admire his courage and bravery. The type of music he chose for his solo music are my type of songs and I admire that his lyrics are so well thought and relevant to people. I am glad he did not choose to do rock or loud music and the title are catchy and yet not trashy. Best of all, his voice of songs are different from SB19 songs but not too far out as far as SB29 image, still wholesome, with a tough of swag. His songs will relate to young and other ages. I’m glad you did not choose to sing rock songs like a rocksta. not my type of music .

Base on my observation in your interview with both Felip and Josh is very spontaneous and hindi scripted. Parang nagbebase sa kung ano ang isasagot ng interviewee. Hindi sya patalon-talon. Very relax lang and very kwentuhan ang dating. Hope magkaroon din ng chance na ma solo interview ang ibang members and them as a group. 💙

The best lesson i learned from this talk with Josh is that 'if you want something, try and work hard to achieve it'. If you like something, enjoy doing it. If you love something, you get the best out of everything including people, their strength and their dreams to achieve something too.' matalino talaga si Josh... ginamit ang bad experiences to learn and be motivated sa buhay, hindi nag give up maski mahirap ang pinagdaanan. maski grade 3 lang natapos, ang gagaling ng ideas niya, hindi naging hadlang ang hindi nakapag bachelor's degree...palaban sa hamon ng buhay!

Sobrang napahanga ako ng batang to. Ibang level ng paghanga, para kong ina na sobrang proud habang pinapanood ang anak nya. Napakamature nyabg magisip at magsalita. Kaya naman sobrang mahal na mahal kayo naming mga A'Tin. At sobrang napapaproud din ako para kay Tita Aldrene, alam kong malaking factor din yung pagpapalaki at klase ng pagkalinga na binigay nya kay Josh. Gustong kong umiyak habang pinapanood ko to. Josh is truly the best speaker in SB19. I also marvel that he's a deep thinker and observer. Yung sinabi niya na walang sekreto sa ginagawa nila as a group, preparation lang at discipline, tinamaan ako doon. Yung sa AAA they prepared for that for 1 month kaya naman perfect performance. Parang alam ko yung sinasabi niya na walang lead time sa TV Industry, na sasabihan ka one or two days then expect you to do your best. I think sa collab nila ito with Regine. They were given 2 days to prepare (napakahirap because they had to incorporate Regine's voice into Hanggang sa Muli) but they had to do it dahil Regine yun eh. Preparation and discipline.

Kuya, you said na kakaiba talaga yung support and dedication ng fanbase ng SB19 and them as soloists, kasi kuya bukod sa they're making a legacy at marami silang binabago or chinachallenge sa industry, they're all doing it right-not just for clout or fame but to make it better while being genuine. Kasi sa totoo lang, mahirap maging genuine kapag nasa harap ka ng maraming tao. Artists want to protect themselves and make their fans stay- mahirap yun kapag hindi authentic yung artist. Our mahalima shows their true selves. They can speak their mind freely kasi merong trust and we understand each other. Just like what Josh said, 'mga walangya sila' haha and we're loving it that they don't need to wear masks to impress people. They''re all have been interviewed many times, pero thank you so much po talaga Kuya Doug for having FELIP and Josh Cullen in your podcast episodes.
