Joseph Prince Believes In The Confession Of Sins (1 John 1:9)

Excerpt taken from: Joseph Prince - The Secret Of The Double Portion - 19 Apr 15
Want a double portion of God’s anointing and favor in your life? Joseph Prince shows you how in this revelatory message. See from the Scriptures, as well as from the ascension of Prophet Elijah, how it all has to do with seeing Jesus and His finished work, and having a revelation of God as your Father. When you know God as Father, you will find that He never turns His back on you, but always provides abundantly for you. Because Jesus was forsaken by the Father at Calvary, you can call God “Father” today and walk in a double portion of your inheritance in Christ!

God used those misrepresentations about Joseph Prince to get me to listen to what he had to say out of curiosity. And after just three messages God's love clicked. I used to beg for God to show me his love and I always felt stressed, depressed and condemned as a Christian, I used to criticize and be so unhappy. Now that the truth sunk in and I'm free, I find my life changed. I am not stressed or depressed. I'm happy about God and excited. I am kinder to people, I don't criticize anymore and what I used to struggle with, I don't anymore by the grace of God. When you free, you free indeed!

I needed that. For the past 15 years, I've found myself to obsessive-compulsively repentant; asking God for forgiveness probably hundreds of times a day (and not because I was committing hundreds of sins a day), just to ensure I remained in a state of good-standing with my Father. What a vicious trick of the enemy...

Praise the Lord! Confession of sins is not a ritual to purify ourselves, but rather a declaration of the Word of the Lord: first, the acknowledgement that sin is sin, and second, the acknwledgement that we have been forgiven. I don't confess to be forgiven, but because I have been forgiven.

I agreed to these because when Jesus died for me I didn't asked for it whether I acknowledge it or not that he has forgiven me. Moreover I am forgiven even before I was born. I confess because I know I am already forgiven and I thank God for it.

Excellently said at 1:48. Sometimes I get so caught up talking to other people, I forget to talk to God. It isn't the same. Conversely sometimes I confess to God and feel like, well, I don't need to tell the person I actually wronged. This was a great reminder.

  • @wangmary888

The sins that one Christian have done are hard to caculate since he or she sometimes does sin unconsciously or nonintentionally. But it is easy to confess them by generalizing them into one sin: unconscious or unintentional sin and then to ask for Jesus' forgiving. As for those obvious sins, they are easily realized by the sinner and the people around him, and so they are easily be confessed.

Either way asking for forgiveness does not save you at all because God standard is perfection. We are saved only by what Jesus has done on the cross of his death burial and resurrection and he says to be save all the person has to do is simply believe the death burial and resurrection of what he has done If you add one work of human Merit it cancels Grace and you set yourself under the law where you will be condemned and found guilty All your good is as filthy rags concerning salvation your good is considered evil

( Matthew 6:12-15) was before the cross and forgiving others was a condition that we needed to do to be forgiven so that we would not lose salvation?. That was not possible at that time because Christ had not yet died for the sins of the world so there was no salvation to keep or loose before the cross". That is why you need to read ( Ephesians 4:32) which answers the question of our forgiveness from God through Christ after the cross".

Pastor you're making a big mistake. If you say it's to the atheist group please continue till chapter 2 which starts from my "dear children I am writing to you" it doesn't not say the atheist right?. My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. 1 John 2:1 NLT Why does Jesus needs to plead our case if our sins are forgiven without confessing. Think about it.
