his best analysis was his "there's the young and the young" when he rather cryptically and concisely assessed that Rashford will never ever be world class as he hasn't make notable improvements season on season. The way he worded it went well over most people's heads but he was absolutely right. That was in 2019.

They’ve posted this today for a reason. Jose and Gary have nailed this spot on. First season with the kids no signings no pressure, came 4th, stayed in the job. Soon as that summer window came around the pressure did too and that’s where Frank cracked.

Open to interpretation but I think Lampard took the job on with a view to impressing, hence putting himself forward as either a permanent replacement for Potter or a lead candidate for any number of premier league coaching roles next season (half the clubs in the premier league have sacked their coaches this season). So today’s result, along with the seven games previous, where Chelsea have actually regressed under Lampard’s ‘management’, has highlighted his shortcomings. Bottom line is that Lampard has been given opportunities at Chelsea (twice), Everton & Derby based purely on his playing career. He hasn’t taken half his badges and pretty much every coach out there is better qualified than him. Chelsea would have been better off leaving Potter in charge for the full season.

@@scholesiefirsttime Potter had lost respect of the big name players and was seen as weak-willed by the board. I believe they brought Lampard in to do what Rangnick did last season at United. They didn't care if we finished 9th or 14th, they wanted him to help give them info on who to keep and sell for the summer exodus. Some of the players will need to go within Poch's first two three weeks. It will be hard for Poch to make that assessment in that short a period so Lampard's insight will help with that. They couldn't ask Potter to do it because that would be effectively letting him know he was getting the sack at the end of the year but still asking him to continue. Few managers would accept a job as short term as this as they would value themself higher, but Lampard is doing this purely for the love of Chelsea.

Lampard’s first managerial stint at Chelsea was a win/win for him and the club. They had a transfer embargo at the time, which allowed him to put trust in the youth players who he already knew from his time at the club. He did well steering that young team into the top 4, but then ruined his managerial legacy with his results at Everton and in his 2nd stint at Chelsea.

Kinda correct, Lampard loves his players holding the ball and making quick movement on the ball. His off the ball tactics are questionable, Chelsea did well with him because they had people who could finish but these new set of Chelsea wouldn't even score if their opponents had no goalkeeper.

Remember the transfer ban Chelsea had. Lampard's been given the job twice. 1. Transfer ban, players let go, left with young inexperienced players 2. To fill a gap with the worse run team I can ever remember (30+ players in squad, players who know they don't have to impress Lampard) who have no proper hierarchy to help the manager and club. Boehly has destroyed them and is stepping down to a different role. Off to watch his Baseball team no doubt. Frank's never had an Edu and all the organisation Arsenal have. He shouldn't be judged on his two spells will a dumpster fire of a club. He's one of the best players PL has ever seen, he was incredible. He should be afforded a proper opportunity and be judged on that.

That transfer ban WASN'T A BLESSING at ALL in hindsight that's wen Standards at Chelsea football club slowly but surely started to drop We Never used to rely on Cobham players now wen the going gets tough they think they're better n Bigger than Chelsea. We will be Back 💙

Here are 3 football men , speaking about 1 man (Lampard) that will never be a good manager in his life time . Why ? Because he wasn't born with "it" (talent) . Only Mother Nature , can give that to you , so , please don't try to go against IT , because it'll never work !

Getting a team with a transfer embargo to 4th and getting them to a FA Cup final. Keeping Everton in the league last season and getting Derby to a playoff final. Not exactly a bad manager is he, don't put the blame from this season on him either, Everton sold their only proven goalscorer and brought in Maupue (or however its spelt) and an overall absolutely horrific squad that Rafa Benitez couldn't get anything out of either the season before.

Naah, Neville … all the English boys get chance at coaching but they absolutely suck at it so can’t be called back … yourself, gerrard, lampard, even scholsey are prime examples …
