After listening to this song for like one hundred times, I feel like I'm ready to write a love letter to this song and music video. The different people in the video all have different background stories. Some of them look like "troublemakers", some look like they just had their wedding and some are looking like business men. But in this certain situation, they all experience the same: They feel sad for things that happened in the past and are thinking about it while sitting in a car. The scene itself is very chill, but it still shows so many emotions. No-one is acting like a stereotype, they all feel sad or guilty about past experiences or mistakes they did. Their life is going on as the moving landscapes behind the window. This song is so chill and relaxed, yet so intensive and haunting. Especially José who is sitting in the middle seat. He's like the narrator who sees all the sadness and pain and sings about it quietly. The lyrics match the scenes perfectly. As the day bleeds into nightfall, his voice gets louder and it calms down in the end. It's an older song from an album that was released in 2003, that's why the video quality isn't on a modern level. But I think this even makes the video better. It's shot like a one-taker and the music video isn't covered with fast transitions. This whole flair reminds me a lot of long car rides through the silent night. Overall a great song which has so much more meaning than you'd think when you first hear it.

I really love the level of understanding you have about this song. i have to agree with you in all the things that you said here. in my opinion this is a song with a strongest base and feelings, the fact that is "a old school" video makes him better, i really love the way it was recorded and more... i was brought here from his melancholic yet strange but sincere style of music you don't just see everyday. he poured his heart and soul into this song. I honestly believe we need more artists like José González.

Loved this song before Life is Strange. After playing the game, now I cry listening to this. My favorite game of all time!!!

Pure poetry with a video that shows the unfortunate negative aspects of the human condition. Jose Gonzalez is simply amazing and this is pure poetry. His music has gotten me through some very difficult times of my life, bless this man and the mastery of his art.

The last time I heard this song I was very sickly and bed bound. I remember thinking “catch some light and you’ll be alright”. It’s been at least 6y now, I am no longer unwell and this song still rings true to me. Go out and play, meet up with the ones you care and tell them how much you love them because moments are so fleeting and precious ❤

A mother in my little town was killed in an accident a few months ago. I hear this song and think of her every day when i drive by that spot. Peace to you Jose, for putting words to the confusion and hurt we feel.

I can't thank life is strange enough for introducing me to so many great artists and bands that I would've never found. It was a life-changing game and so was the music and the artists that I will remember as long as I live and pass it down to future generations

its the perfect music to hear when coming back home late from a tiring night, its a poetic feeling it gives.

I was brought here, not by Life is Strange but by Zero 7 (Who have a remix of this song) 2 years ago, who then brought me to this song. But when I heard this in Life is Strange, my god, I sat in Max's room for over 10 minutes just listening to this song over and over, I have always loved this song and I love that he's getting more fans of his music due to it being in LiS. Who cares about those who say "I'm here because of Life is Strange" or those who say "I'm here because good music", who cares how you got here, we're here now and this song will be forever with us.

For some strange reason this song calms me down in a particular way. In a way where I can accept hardiships and sadness because they are part of the path. It makes you feel like it's normal not to be alright for a moment. We always tends to deny sadness, but good music helps you to accepts it, giving you some hope meanwhile. This bittersweet, soft feeling, I find it amazing.

I love the video they made. You only see these small fragments of slice-of-life stories and even if you only see a few seconds of each, your mind instantly fullfills the rest and creates a story around it. Especially the ones at 0:40 and 1:06
