Just 22 in his final season here, Reyes always seemed like a perfect Wenger player - an unbelievable talent. Hope you enjoy Songs: Dope Lemon - Uptown Folks; Doves - There Goes The Fear Support my channel and see full matches on my patreon www.patreon.com/souster98

Loved this player so much when he was with us man. Watching his videos now hurt a lot after what ultimately happened, as enjoyable as they are. Had such a big impact despite a relatively short stint in our red and white.

He was such a talented player. He had such wonderful acceleration, change of direction with the ball at his feet. When he signed for Arsenal it was quite big news that Arsenal had secured this La Liga starlet, who was terrorising La Liga defences with his pace and dribbling ability. There's some parallels with the recent Luiz Diaz to Liverpool Jan transfer from Porto, I can see has similar attributes to Reyes playing in a team that plays with such power and pace much like that Arsenal team back in the day. A player who has been brought in to grow and develop in this top side with the eventual job of replacing one of their iconic superstar forwards much in the same way Reyes was in 03/04. But I think Reyes reputation worked against him, Opposition players used to absolutely clatter him because they were scared of his pace and dribbling ability. I can imagine Reyes would have thrived in modern day football with the less physicality we see in the game now. I always remember how he used to absolutely ruin Gary Neville whenever they played against each other - the likes of which we hadn't seen since Overmars days. He was also such a clever player, quick thinking, linked up well with Bergkamp, Henry, Pires, Freddie etc and had a rocket in his left foot. Such a shame he was taken so early, RIP Reyes, thanks for the happy memories and especially that special first goal against Chelsea in the cup.

He should’ve been a player who helped transition our invincibles into the emirates era but he could never quite settle. Unbelievable talent and actually left a bit underrated I feel.

@@davidoconnellmtb219 He could take the kicks but they weren't getting the cards that they would receive for those fouls nowadays, just set him up to be kicked relentlessly, but a young Reyes would absolutely dominate the PL and CL in the VAR era

I like your videos because they feel like "old school" football videos from the 00's, just straight to the point clips with nice fitting music. Subbed.

First thing he said once his plane landed in London was, and I quote: "Fuck it's cold here!" Shame he never found himself at home in England. Still a great player and we miss him dearly

I have never seen a clip of a player creating SO many chances his teammates never utilised! There was certainly nothing wrong with Reyes football!! (Sad to hear of his passing from this earth he was certainly another special Jose!) I don't think he was ever liked by the commentators of English football and seeing these clips make me wonder what they were on about. Lazy and uncommitted was the sense they created about him back then? Doesn't look like it to me!

Duh! He managed him well alright. The fergie/manure players ganged up on him. Fa/refs allowed it. Soon all teams were doing this to Reyes.
