Jory Cassel: Petty Casualty | Character Analysis | ASOIAF

Before open war, before army against army, before mysticism and magic and foul tactics abound, simple swords and spears solved severe grudges. Animosity particularly simmered between House Stark and House Lannister, and boiled to a point of no return in King’s Landing. Two men on opposite ends of morality met in the street, bringing their house guards with them, and a skirmish ensued that spelled condemnation for some and mortal doom for others. One such man to suffer the latter fate was Jory Cassel. Hello everyone, and welcome back to Exploring Fiction. Longtime servant of House Stark and captain of Lord Eddard’s guard, Jory Cassel proved a faithful man-at-arms, helping to raise the Stark children and protect their entire family as well as he could muster. However, his best was not enough, and upon tailing Lord Eddard to King’s Landing, Jory soon found himself one of the first casualties in a quickly-escalating conflict. So, who exactly is Jory Cassel, and why is he such an interesting character? Let’s explore…

Oh my, my boy Jory getting some love? Now that put a smile on my face haha. Jory is one of these minor characters that left of hell of an impression on me. Definelty one of my favorite characters despite his little screentime. Just found your channel, great job friend! Subscribed 👊😎

Ned and Jory didn't get attacked for Ned's meddling. They were attacked because Caitlyn kidnapped Tyrion

Yes we as the readers know that. But in the world of ASOIAF everyone blamed Eddard for it since he's the head of the house. Furthermore he lies (in the show) that it was his plan to arrest Tyrion. He did it in order to protect Cat. I'm not certain if the same thing happened in the books.

Lack of character and sense already in having one wolf killed for another's actions. Amd agreeing was dumb. Just poor story.
