Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of JORN’s brand new live album & video, “Live on Death Road”!
Recorded at the Frontiers Rock Festival 2018, this performance was captured when Jorn headlined the second night of the festival. Lande performed with a great band featuring long time members Tore More on guitar, Sid Ringsby on bass, producer/keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio, and not one, but two drummers: Beata Polak and Francesco Jovino (Primal Fear).
The tracklisting is certainly special and includes some timeless songs spanning the entire 20-year career of JORN. From “Sunset Station”, included on the “real” international debut “Worldchanger”, to absolute classics such as “Out to Every Nation,” “Stormcrow,” and “Lonely Are the Brave”. Some surprises are there too, such as “Walking on Water” from the Dracula Rock Opera and of course unmissable cover versions of “The Mob Rules” (Black Sabbath) and “Ride Like the Wind” (Christopher Cross).
All in all, this is another unmissable celebration of the talents of the Norwegian vocal god and a powerful testimony to a unique artist who offers an unbelievable live show here.

What an amazing singer & interpreter, so sovereign, without show gimmicks, just the song, his great voice and his melodic phrasing, and his PASSION for the song. Simply wonderful. I just collect his great records since 20 years. Judged by quality he should be big & successful. I wish him ALL THE BEST!

Best singer in Rock in 2019.
The BEST metal singer right now. The succesor to Dio. Used to resort to shitty amateur videos. Little recognition unless you directly search for it.This man should be sitting on a golden throne being praised as the greatest vocalist of its genre right now.

Jorn is awesome no doubt about that.I ll put Russell Allen in the same league, also check out Diego Valdez,he is brutal and is slowly getting more recognition in the scene.
Kudos to the guitarist, totally nails it.

Jorn Lande along with Russell Allen are the best 'mothafuckers' heavy metal vocalists today. These guys are my biggest singing influences along with the greatest one Ronnie James Dio. I absolutely love them.

100% Agree!! Watched Symphony X 3 times in a row plus TSO!!.. listen to "bring the colors home" by Lande probably my favorite song by him and then his ARK and Beyond Twilight songs which you probably have...This guy was amazing live with Avantasia.. Too bad he never tours the US

I had didn't heard this version yet. My sister told me about this Jorn's version just yesterday. I've heard the song right now and I liked it veeery much, another great cover song for sure by Mr. Lande. I'm huge fan of this guy that's for sure. I had the huge pleasure of watched him 7 times live here in Brazil, all was awesome, amazing concerts. I used to like a lot this song with Saxon, but with Jorn... OMG, Holy Jesus!!! Jorn always rocks in all his covers. I absolutely love his voice.

Erhh, no, he didn't. Saxon did, about 32 years ago. Jørn just did what he does best - copied.

@@drgrlitz Maybe you don't like it that's fine. But remember Saxon also copied the version from Christopher Cross. Every single artist has copied but to say that an artist does what he does best is copy then it's a major foul and that you dislike the artist. Basically it means that an artist never had a hit (anywhere in the world) with music he wrote and composed rather the only hits he had were covers. Remember that this can also be said to the bands/musicians who do not write their own music but rather hire outside writers to either write for them or to co-write with them.

Saxon did a cover of a Christopher Cross-tune, but they didn't copy it - They rearranged the tune into a heavy rock song, which you give credits to Jørn for doing here. He COPIED saxon's arrangement, pretty much note for note (Except for the guitar solo, which Tore made into his own here). There is a difference. 50% of Jørn career - or more - seems to be copying other people's work, wether it's Coverdale, Dio, byron, gillan, or somebody elses. He doesn't have a style of his own, everything he does sounds like somebody else. He doesn't compose good lyrics, it's mostly meaningless drivel. There's a coupla good tracks with great lyrics on Ken Hensley's "Blood on the Highway", and I suspect very much that hensley wrote those himself, and even on those, Jørn sounds like a Coverdale hybrid. And don't tell me what i mean by interpretating my own words into yours, it's pretty obvious that english isn't your first language. This is a carboncopy version of Saxon's interpretation of a cross-tune, not a trace of original or creative effort used. It's what he does best. He's a human jukebox: Put a € in, & he'll do the song.

@@drgrlitz Someone else wrote the song and lyrics and released it before them. So it's a cover regardless of who made it a hit or not. Now moving forward he covered the song like Saxon did. It doesn't matter if it was 100% the same or not. A cover is a cover. Like I said before if you dislike him that's fine, you think that he has a career filled with "meaningless drivel" that's cool. I have no idea however what you're trying to prove here. Even if he does sound like somebody else so what? You're telling me that each and every artist has a unique sound? If you look hard enough I'm sure you'll prove yourself wrong. So what if english is not my first language? I don't think that we are comparing our foreign language skills here. Unless there something I'm missing here Lastly every artist is the same. Put a € in and he'll do the cover. Every artist is in for the money. If he can make money out of a cover then he'll do it in a blink of an eye

@@chrisdaviesguitar I disagree with it being a cover from "SAXON" because the only thing "SAXON" did was take "Christopher Cross's" song and make it with a heavier rock sound. Now "Jorn" did the same thing as "Saxon" but with a little more intensity.

Glenn Hughes is one of the great voices in the history of rock, considered by the entire rock community an equal to people like Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, David Coverdale... Many people grew up listening to him, and one of those people was Jorn Lande. I can send you videos of Jorn covering Glenn Hughes songs back in the 90s, if you want to...
