Beginning of this month I found out that I have a rare form of lymphoma and will begin chemo next week. I want the balance of my life to be proof that God is love.

Before, I was always BECOMING... becoming something... fitting into a character mold, seeking approval and merit, but NONE of this matters anymore. One of the reasons people question whether or not there's a purpose to our life - or anything - is because it's built out of our modern models of the world. I am now looking for a new purpose in my life. Looking back, many years ago I drew a mental picture of myself ,surrounded with targets. I was in the center of a large circle of placards, each placard represented a way to go. I couldn't decide with target to shot at/for. Somehow, years later, I found one that worked for 25 years and then disintegrated. So now I'm back to looking for a new way. I haven't a clue which way to go. I'm 76 yrs old and miserable. Life seems pointless. It is pointless at this point. I need a new hobby or something into which I can throw myself.

📌Friends, I hope this helps someone who needs to hear it💜 According to many Near-Death Experiences, we come here to learn about love *experientially* and to *apply* what we learn. A soul cannot do that in the ethereal realm because everything is perfect there. To understand the light (love), one must experience darkness; one cannot truly know what a thing is until it has been contrasted with its opposite. I believe we choose to come here, and sometimes not just to learn, but to help others (to teach). Heaven is home, but once we've enjoyed basking for eons in perfect heavenly bliss, we might look forward to a new challenge/adventure in this amazing universe. I think the soul takes on these 'lives' just as we opt to read books or watch movies - sometimes a comedy, other times a drama or thriller etc., - but all for the sole purpose of learning to love. So please don't fear the process; God knows what He's doing. Don't be a backseat driver! 😊 However, I do believe that it's *imperative* that we learn to love (mercy, compassion, forgiveness, kindness, fortitude, equanimity, etc.), otherwise, experiences and even lives may *repeat* until we do so! Understandably, God always gives precedence to the soul over the body. Once we've overcome all our challenges, I doubt we'll come here too often, if at all. I believe that an important thing to remember is the 'golden thread' that seems to run through most NDEs; namely, we are a part of God (His children), we're eternal, we're loved beyond measure, and we come here to learn to love. Thank goodness it's designed in such a way as to always feel like the first time! Strive to be the best version of yourself in thought, word, and deed, and you may be surprised by the abundance of blessings that come your way. Give it a try and see for yourself! I wish you the very best in life! 💜 "To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better... To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." -Ralph Waldo Emerson💜

How Human Nature Works Human nature is the desire to receive, also called “desire to enjoy,” and it functions by receiving what is beneficial to itself and rejecting what is harmful. Everything in our lives is built upon this calculation where we first try to distance ourselves from harm, and then seek how to draw ourselves closer to what is beneficial. Human nature also includes a multilayering of systems that work simultaneously on still, vegetative, animate and human levels. One of those systems is our bodily one, which operates involuntarily. If our bodies are healthy, then they know what is good for them and draw that goodness to themselves. After the bodily system, there is the emotional system, which also functions relatively according to instinct. From the emotional system, we move to the mind, and from the mind to the intellect, and so on. That is, we have systems over systems that concurrently work on receiving what is beneficial and rejecting what is harmful. Such is human nature and the essence of our lives. Our every desire, thought and action operates according to the calculation, “How can we receive what is most beneficial to us and reject what is harmful?”

Often I wonder about "the purpose of life" it always comes back with "life needs a purpose?" or "do I need a purpose?" This is when my life flashes retrospectively... "why?" in the end we still wonder if we had chosen a different path, although the path we chose was a good one according to society, the status quo, faith, family and friends. The paradox follows us all the way through. My mother chose a career which brought her great fortune, she lived in abundance and yet on her death bed wondered about the purpose of her life. Does the word "purposeful" means purpose? If I live my life with consideration for others, giving what I can and helping when I can, is it not a purposeful life? Although some people are not even close to middle class, and may never reach that level, do they ask themselves "what is the purpose of my life"? The only reason I asked myself that question...it was introduced to me. I'm quite content to have a life. Whatever happened to being alive, gratitude, good physical and mental health? The way society is going perhaps we need to redefine the word "purpose" I'm just saying. 😘

The Meaning of life I doubt whether a doctor can answer this question in general terms. For the meaning of life differs from man to man, from day to day and from Hour to Hour. What matters therefore is not the meaning of life in general but the specific meaning of a person's life at a given moment. To put the question in general terms will be comparable to the question posed to the chess champion "Tell me master, what is the best move in the world"??There simply is no such thing as the best or even a good move apart from a particular situation in a game and the particular personality of one's opponent. The same holds for human existence. One should not search for an abstract meaning of life. Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life. Everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfilment. Therein,he can not be replaced nor can his life be repeated. Thus everyone's task is unique as his specific vocation to implement it. -Victor Frankl Man's Search for meaning.

If information is reduction in uncertainty (H = -Sum(p*logp), I = -p*logp, see Raymond W Yeung 2008 or Jones and Jones 2012) then it would seem informational and material reductionism lead to opposite places. Material reductionism leads to unexplainable nothingness. Informational reductionism seems to lead to infinite uncertainty and chaos, from which order is naturally going to emerge. When we talk about the future being potential if the past has brought information into being and filtered the chaos and narrowed down what the future truth can be, then the future is potential because it can be reduced to what's left to filter out. There could be objections regarding conservation of information but I think the physics treatment is different from the information theory treatment so the above (very, very abridged) speculation may still be possible

0:50 PHILIPPIANS 2:17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. TIMOTHY 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. To be created in God’s image means to act like God. When Jews observe the Sabbath they are remembering two events , that God created the world and God brought the Hebrews out of slavery. The basic lesson is to be positively creative and bring others to freedom to help them maximize their potential. But it is primary goal to use energy to become the best version of ourselves and when we are that best or at least a better version we contribute more to the world

The problem today is we are willing choose to live our lifes void off our creator and neglect the authority of God's word. God's word is the light we undoubtedly require to enable us to find our purpose in life. Today our god is our identity which is foolishness beyond measure. We are not random beings that just happened when we were created we had purpose in our development. Its not just marry , get a car ,buy a house, become " successful " whatever that means . There's a word in Bible for that vanity. And that was the who God blessed with the greatest gift of wisdom. Seek 1st the kingdom of God. You must be born again or you will not see / understand the kingdom of God . Peace be upon you . SS7

A life well lived, well that sounds impossible to achieve. There's no purpose to pursue, there's only regret and in the future only more regret, and more regret and more regret. Because no purpose ever appears in my mind. And my heart is silent and dead. My soul clearly gone. I have wasted whatever faint potential I could have had, and now there is nothing. Every day when I wake up I instantaneously want to die. I hate every single second of consciousness. Being conscious is hell, it's literal hell. I don't know how every single human being doesn't want to die all the time. I only wish I was never born. Life is just not worth it. I hope I get a heart attack some day, rather sooner than later. I'm ready to be done with this crap.

@@franacha I hear what you’re saying and I understand. It really is all about Hope, when there is no hope, there is no reason to move forward, no reason to continue on. Maybe at best, superficial relationships temporary pleasure, achieving a personal goal here or there, and struggling to minimize pain. Is it easy to enter into this hope? No, Jesus told us it wasn’t going to be easy and that not many people would enter it. He said enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. So it’s not surprising that you’re at where you are and having the feelings that you have my prayer for you right now is that God‘s Holy Spirit will convict of sin and of righteousness, so you will be able to knock on that door and he who is Faitfhful will answer that door. Then Hope enters in, and from that Hope flows purpose for life. Asking and truly seeking the truth is where most people stop they don’t wanna know the truth they wanna live for themselves. You are in a unique position right now open up God‘s Word ask him to speak to your heart. Praying for you right now. #anchorofmysoul

Purpose? We can "believe" (because of religious indoctrination) that the universe was created ... or we can "believe" (because of scientific theory) ... that the universe always existed. But we don't "have" answers to prove that either system of belief, is true. From the book Albert Einstein … THE WORLD AS I SEE IT An individual who should survive his physical death is also beyond my comprehension, nor do I wish it otherwise: such notions are for the fears or absurd egoism of feeble souls. It was the experience of mystery-even if mixed with fear-that engendered religion.

The purpose of life is a sentence humans have made up to make sense of our lives. But I believe, we all know pain, the feeling of pain makes everything feel real and anything that causes physical pain is where we should be steering clear from as much as possible. Mental and physical challenges are a different story and something that should be embraced and attended to to build oneself. Mr Peterson says it way better though.

The purpose of life is obvious. Survive and reproduce. No scientific process is required to establish that purpose. We observe that life is totally dependent on survival and reproduction. If just one of Jordan's many evolutionary ancestors (or of mine) had failed in that pursuit, he (or i) would not be here. But some feel that purpose, a obvious knowable reality, must also be accompanied by "meaning". "Meaning", even if exist apart from as an example of analgesic neurotic ideation, is not only unknown but is also among the UNknowable unknowns. UNknowable unknowns include e.g. what if anything lies on the output side of a black hole, whether god does or does not exist, or whether the Set Of All Sets can or cannot contain itself, etc., etc. People who's lives include feelings of "meaninglessness" are experiencing depression. Depression, contrary to the contemporary prevailing falacious paradigm of establishment classical psychology, is not caused by an absence of propriatary pharmaceuticals, is not appropriately treated via ongoing periodic coach sessions, and is not a sympton of disease. Depression is an evolved selected-for adaptive feeling generated when a human's outcome is not matching his/her expectations. That feeling contains the following message: Do one or both of the following - change your expectation(s) and/or change your environment. Once a sincere effort to make those changes is recognized, feeling(s) of depression dissolve.

Jordan's unwillingness to give up ingratiating his father's defense mechanisms has him unable to finish the earliest pre-psychological oneness stages of development. Jordan's habitual actions are predicated on the mind of a boy trapped in vicious circles of thoughts and feelings about his father's unconscious meaning-making and emotional reactions. Jordan's identity can't separate from his father's defense mechanisms because that triggers his father's wrath. And Jordan cannot only be subservient to his father's defense mechanisms and wrath because then he cannot function and stabilize.

What do you feel that you produce daily? feelings! Where do these feelings go after they are produced? I helped you solve the mystery of what is the meaning of life, and you have to think and complete when, why, how, and in what feelings chips are used after producing them After death, you will move to a larger body to be a larger factory after qualifying and training in earthly life The greatest production in the afterlife, where will it be? Hell? Heaven? The majority, 99%, will not go to retirement Because in the first place they were employed in the factories of the dark power Why did they accept work in dark energy? Imaginary offers in the field of everything if they accept This is a trap!! Yes and no. It contains instructions that must be read before recklessness By whom were they hired? One of the leaders of the dark force !Who, how and where ?do you have eyes, hearing and mind? You are responsible I want the opposite. Yes, everything has its opposite! Only one has no opposite! The important thing is that the opposite of darkness is light. Work in it is boring, limited and hard. They do not give a pension. It is almost slavery, but there is a retirement in the end that is very tempting and has no limits.
