    Its unfortunate that a lot of people hate on him before trying to understand him; he's said many times he's more alined with femininity than the majority of men, in the traditional sense of femininity anyways, and he has said his wife is the opposite (aligned with masculinity). I think his brain is just so fried from the drugs and being in a coma in Siberia hes losing it and can't make much sense of reality in his conservative echo chamber. I liked his early works on religious archetypes, maps of meaning is a really interesting read. I really dislike the direction he's heading.

  • @ffreshfields5211

    @ffreshfields5211

    @@chillywillin He hasn't even begun to understand as well as respect what femininity is. He is incredibly out of touch and uninformed, in spite of all his book studies, because he is stuck in limited and backward viewpoints and lacks personal growth and internal learning, which does not help him in forming mature or enlightening work. We do have ears. We can hear him. We can understand what he says very clearly. He is just off unfortunately. Very off. Just because people say that what he says is bullshit does not mean they don't have ears or can not understand words. They simply disagree with his views and talks and see through what he is doing trying to sell off those unrounded and unfounded views as facts through cherrypicking history and science. They just know better, unfortunately for him. Both his early and later work are uninspiring to me, and are incomplete, lacking and biased, to say the least.

I think that’s a big issue with his listeners, or at least it seems Hasan believes, that they treat him like God. I think he looks at real world situations through a philosophical lens too much, as well. Things don’t always work out the way they’re “supposed to” in real life. But that critique honestly can apply to almost any scholar. I think John McWhorter is pretty balanced on race issues. He recognizes there are still issues but doesn’t place blame on anyone, looking to cut through the academic bullshit that everyone is arguing over to find real solutions to problems people face today.

    Listening to these two as a woman feels absolutely dehumanizing and gross. They nerd out about how beautiful it was of primitive dudes to call women lesser beings, brood mares and adverarial servers to men. Then Peterson get all excited in his pants about the chance that biblical etymology might confirm his nut-job theories about women being agents of chaos. Absolutely insane! I wonder why women might act out, seek power and resent men if you mentally or literally want to chain them between bed and kitchen... It will forever be a mystery! I like men and love my bf to death, but listening to this makes me kinda want to become the man-hating feminist these mini-wiener-carriers are so afraid of. If all of a woman's value comes from her uterus, then men have no value at all. Women can work, take care of the home, bear and raise children and satisfy themselves sexually (with or without technology and usually better than men can). Men used to provide for the family and donate sperm, but with today's economy most can't do the first (alone), and with science progressing we soon won't be needing them for the second one, either, to continue our species. Plus, women have a complete X chromosome (no broken one/Y - who's the broken rib now?), thus being less at risk for developing lots of diseases (like heamophilia or colour blindness; more males die in utero than females). Also, the vast majority of violent and sexual crime is commited by men, so who's the real dragon of chaos who can and *has* destroyed civilisations, Peterson?

    @@elan825 So you know how we say "mother nature", well the reason is actually not because people literally think nature is a woman with a baby; it's what's called a "metaphor", in this case drawing upon the ontological identification of femininity with pure potential out of which reality is manifested. Also, lady, what the hell are you talking about? Women are the ONLY kind of human who have innate value, women CAN do anything a man can do AND also she is the ONLY one who can do the thing that ONLY women can do. So... Where is your insecurity coming from exactly? You literally said it yourself, women don't NEED men; men, on the other hand, do very much need women (you know, for being born and stuff). Ya, you got it, the "brood mare" analogy is FAR MORE applicable to the literal human-studs selling their sperm like it's meaningless. God DAMN, Jesus woman, YOU'RE WINNING - MEN ARE OBSOLETE, AND YOU THINK YOU'RE STILL THE VICTIM? Seriously, it's honestly hilarious how threatened feminists are by men... stop worrying so much, they're a little too busy being fragile losers to oppress anyone.

    It annoys me so much when people say that the word woman derived from the word man (like Lil Benny did here). Woman was originally wifman, then the f was dropped and it became wimman and finally woman. Man derives from werman (see also werewolf = man-wolf) and the whole wer part was dropped eventually, leaving just man. They are two different words and trying to argue that one of them derives from the other will just make you look ridiculous.
