Usually they don't waste a QB's arm on a drill that requires you to throw inaccurately.

They're literally working on making the WRers go up and adjust to the ball, back shoulder, out in front. It's a BASIC-BASIC drill and it's not a "waste" of anything.

For one wind was like 30 mph that day and the drill was meant to train receivers to go after the ball, so trying to make this an issue is amateurish!

I love that the wind is so strong up there in GB. His arm looks great. Btw where did the good beat writers go? Get this guy the foh.

Also… in terms of timing, the receivers aren’t running full speed. That can slightly throw off your timing and accuracy if you don’t do this regularly. To me, it just seems like a drill where they could be working on the receivers hands because no ball in the nfl will always be thrown perfectly. WR’s have to find a way.

Seems to me they were pretty on target.

This is a drill. If he was throwing all over the place you’d see him go to the left, go to the middle, go to the right, and then back to the left. That’s throwing all over the place. This is not! This is a passing drill to work on accuracy and placing the ball in the right spots

Hard to tell . At what stage of the practice is it? I have found for example in archery practice fatigue sets in and form breaks down and groups deteriorate. Found that shoot a right hand bow ( I shoot both left and right handed bow when I go to the range) allows me the rest it and bring my forms back into line. Or going to the rifle and pistol range and coming back to archery settles e everything down. As Fred Bear said grade your fist shot at a total possible score of 100. The season 10. How he hits with the first should what tells a lot more than seeing where the balls are setting after throwing 35 balls in 4 minutes or less. That and we could be watching throws that are very late in practice. Snap shot moments can be be very unrealistic of what is really at play. To quote Aaron “Relax”.
