Dake is dope and a beast in his own right but I think he focused so much on how to beat JB for the Olympic spot he kind of stifled himself.
😂everybody knows exactly what move Jordan is going to try to setup. He still hits it. Time and time again. 🐐

Im new to wrestling. What move is he trying to set up ? I’m interested in the sport but I know basically nothing other than a single leg and double leg. What’s he trying to set up ? And what movements let you know he’s setting it up ? I’m genuinely interested if anyone has the time to explain it a bit

One of his best matches I’ve ever seen those doubles are perfect.

Best he has looked in a while. Those shots are incredible. The strength it takes to hold someone like ringer in that position while he is reacting and trying to sprawl nd get away. WOW.

I didn't see much strength coming from JB, I seen more strategy if anything, I believe D is actually stronger, but not as experienced.
I'm so glad to see Burroughs getting back to his double. seemed like he got away from it for a while.

yes he did. everyone was scouting that double once he won the worlds and Olympics 3-4 times. he went to the single for awhile but hes at his best when he's timing and hitting doubles.
Respect to Dieringer! He’s young and has so much potential, especially against some who is considered the Best to ever compete. Burroughs is a Legend.

@@stevjohnson3681 he was already down. The other guy for that moment thought he would come meet him mid way. But instead he went for the open legs and boom. But it was right after the whistle. That’s not even hard to see. I don’t know how you got that assumption at least if you are talking about :57
Dang, jb been around forever. To be 33, he still a force. Keep waiting for him to fade, but it's like he got another wind again.

Are you saying there is no moving forward prior to that whistle? I have seen a lot less movement be called before the whistle

JB is the man! Could not be a better ambassador for our sport, but he jumped that whistle. He had his hands on the legs when you hear the whistle. I thought he timed it perfect watching it live, but now rewatching it. He beat the whistle, but good on him for taking advantage of it!

Dude hitting pause and play over and over it is perfect, it looks like his hand goes up but doesn't look like it touches tell the whistle goes crazy hard to tell

Dieringer's sweep singles and firemans carries are awesome. I love his style. Too bad he had to wrestle JB for a spot at the world team. JB is once in a generation talent with a pool of tough SOBs under him who could all do well at worlds.
Love watching matches like this. It changes the game for your own technique.
Still the GOAT. Love watching this man wrestle.

Who hates JB? I wanted Dake to win because I felt it was his time but Burroughs is one of the best wrestlers in American history...He doesn't have a loud personality so I don't understand why people would hate him...I think it's just a Tom Brady thing..He keeps winning and people wanna see somebody else

@@charlesfriscia7236 a lot of people didn't think he was gonna win because he's getting older. It's crazy cause this man went a 4-4 match with David taylor who teched his way to the Olympic Finals. This man beat Zahid, this man went 2 close bouts with Dake and people really counted him out 😂. Never count out the king 🐐. 202-14 in his international career!!!

I don’t hate JB. I really respect him. Look for him to be a favourite at 79kg worlds. Dieringer just threw to his back Olympic and world champ. The USA’s depth is crazy.

@@jesvinmathew5103 All that happened is he ran into a buzz saw..Dake was on fire at Olympic trials...That's the only guy I can see beating him and he's not wrestling...Anytime an athlete ages and loses that's what they all say...Burroughs is a unique athlete though

jb is the Michael jordan of wrestling
JB is one tough dude and just an amazing wrestler.. having said that it did appear that JB was moving forward just prior to the whistle. Is that ok or could it have been challenged? I'm a noob but I'm sure some of you guys know. Thank you. Grats JB!

Yeah the ref could've easily just not blown the whistle and he probably would've been penalized. I wonder what the rule is about this as well!

He jumped it a tad bit early, but it's the judges call whether to stop it and call a caution, and he didn't. (2 cautions and opponent gets a point)

The near fall was far more impressive than his opponent's double leg takedowns. Too bad he couldn't pull it off or at least get a few takedowns after.
So I don’t watch wrestling as often so i might be just a bit confused but in the initial takedown that jordan completed didn’t he start before the whistle was blown? If someone knows more about this please lmk :)

Jordan broke his ankle and tore a bunch of ligaments prior to the Olympic trials. It must have been much worse than disclosed because after beating Dake for a decade he somehow lost to him. Then Dake's DA went down 11-0 the second round in Tokyo. Any chance Burroughs would have ever been teched 11-0 in an Olympic tournament?!?!?! Dake peaked in 2013!
