Jonathan Michael Richman (born May 16, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. In 1970 he founded the Modern Lovers, an influential proto-punk band.
He recorded with his band a TopPop TV special on 16 September 1978.
Among the songs he recorded was his no. 1 hit 'Egyptian Reggae'.

same is happening to me this week. i've loved roadrunner for years, its just took a while to find the time to dive on in!
Statues should be erected to Jonathan. Yet, the last time I saw him play live there were thirty people in the club - and he still played his heart out.

Yes, I’ve seen JR play to full rooms in London and Melbourne. In Bordeaux was what you described and he and Tommy were equally engaged and excellent.

One of my favorite songs. Hits home.
One of the greatest truths to learn is one cannot force another to love him/her. If yoiu force it, it will back=-fire. and possibly cost years in time.
