Couple good examples in Bristol's recent memory!

My favourite Jiffy moment came from Wales v France around 10 years ago. Adam Jones trundled the ball up to be met by the French defense who promptly sent him backwards. Without hesitation, when Jones started moving backwards Jiffy went ‘beep beep beep’ like a reversing lorry. Spat my pint out over the table in front of me!

I had a photography studio in Warrington. I did a family portrait session for Johnathan family. I remember in chit chat asking what he did. Meaning job ? [ I am a scouser so knew nothing about rugby]. He said I play rugby. I was thinking I mean your job. I had the picture printed and framed when a friend/colleague Came in and says oh you photographed Johnathans family. I stupidly said do you know him. My friend who was also a professional photographer who one of his jobs was Warringtons photographer for nearly 50 years before we lost him tells me what a big star he was in the sport. I can say that I only met him for a couple hours but remember him his wife and young family. Where charming and kind. I never met him again but I felt so sorry for you loss. Your family left a very nice impression and that was before I knew who you were.

It’s just any Welsh game on the bbc. If wales play on itv he won’t be there. He’s on most bbc 6 nations games regardless of who’s playing really. But bbc only had 5 out of 15 this year

Can you find the clip, some years ago now during a 6 nations game (I think wales v Italy), where Jiffy says ‘ I think he threw the ball away, a silly thing to do’? It sounded like a little song with his accent

For me it is the cheerleader aspect i dislike, "GO ON", "WIDTH" every time a Welsh player has the ball within 70 metres of the line. It is tedious compared to professional commentators like Flatman, Cotter, McLaren etc

Sometimes it feels like he’s a supporter who got handed a microphone. He can be biased towards Wales and Welsh teams at times. He’s still funny though I have to admit

I love Jiffy! I don't get all the hate - he's insightful and one of the few commentators who actually speaks his mind

He never fails to entertain.

Say what you will about Jiffy, but he's the funniest commentator out there, intended or not. My favourite moment of Jiffy is when they invited Jiffy on for a comment even when he was very sick. He talked in a very sickly and high pitch voice and I was in fucking tears. Not sure what match this was but I carry that memory closely.
