I've known Jim since I was a teen..I'm 61 now..I grew up 4 blocks from Donut Man...it used to be named Foster Donuts...My dad had a construction company in Glendora...we did 2 or 3 remodels of the shop in my teens and early 20's...I've been there for coffee and donuts probably 1000 times.....He's a really nice guy....

God bless you donut man. I hope to try this strawberry donut one day.

I last had the strawberry donut from Donut Man in 2003, Jonathan Gold's description of it took me back like It was yesterday.

Don't fret. I'm Asian and there is nothing spectacular about those donuts. Just imagine Dunkin Donuts with glazed fresh strawberries in it. And that is exactly it. I drove long distance to try those donuts and Im not going back again.

Someone here at work was excited to let me try these and got me one and it was so sweet. It is just regular donut with strawberries inside. But people like that so to each his own. It's not for me though I prefer a simple chocolate glazed donut

I live in South Pasadena. Take Huntington Dr.all the way to the end where it merges into Route 66 (skip the freeway) and you’ll run into the Donut Man.I really enjoy passing through these often overlooked communities. It’s a great drive to take especially late at night (the place is open 24 hours). Oh, and the donuts are amazing too.

I live about 15 minutes drive from Donut Man and i get the strawberry donuts maybe twice a year, they're good no doubt but i think vastly overrated at $5 a pop. Imagine a glazed jelly donut and adding 5 or 6 strawberries to it, that's about what it tastes like. If i see anything over a 30 minute wait in line i'm just gonna get something else to fill my sweet tooth...though i will say their other donuts are quite nice and good quality.
