Jonas Kaufmann and Helmut Deutsch performed Robert Schumann's song-cycle "Dichterliebe" Op. 48 as part of the @BayerischeStaatsoper's 4th Monday concert on April 27 2020 in front of an empty national theater.
The song-cycle was composed by Robert Schumann in 1840 and based on parts of Heinrich Heine's "Lyrisches Intermezzo" which was published in 1827. "Am leuchtenden Sommermorgen" is the 12th song in the cycle.

Ich habe vor wenigen Minuten die Version von Wunderlich gehört. Mit großen Respekt an den hier gehörten Sänger, aber daran merkt man tatsächlich erst, was für eine Jahrtausendstimme dieser Mann hatte!

Ah Jonas, c'était émouvant mais un peu triste d'entendre ton Diechterliebe dans un Staatsopera vide. Tu es le meilleur et tu nous manques ! C'est bien ce que tu as fait avec Ludovic Tézier pour soutenir l'Opera en ces moments difficiles ! A bientôt au plus vite.
