One of my all time favourites, certainly an underappreciated album.

Mew is hands down my favorite band of all time. Love everything jonas is involved in.

For one of the greatest songwriters ever, he sure is a lovely, humble, down-to-earth guy. And the Glass Handed Kites is my favourite!

Mew are such an incredible band.

I've always heard of Mew, but have never heard them. After this interview, I will certainly be listening. Fantastic as always, Dereck.

I had tickets to the glass handed kits tour which got cancelled. Was gonna travel from USA to see my favorite band play my favorite album. Broke me heart never got to see it.

I like this man so calm and I feel comfortable in his presence. i'm thinking that as he's interested in sciencethe music will be spacey,perhaps, i will see .The interview seemed so intimate and natural. I intend on listening to the various bands this man formed because I haven't come across him before.One other group you introduced me to was Skin Alley 2 Quid Deal which I love. So i will continue to listen and improve my music collection.

Wow!! What a joy to hear from Derek and Jonas! I’ve been a fan of Mew since I first heard Snow Brigade and Mr. Von was one of the very few in the Vinyl community who would mention them regularly. What a great interview!

Nice, i met you briefly when I was doing a show with mark burgess about a year and half ago, We played tears. Mew and their first two albums in particular had a huge influence on me musically. Great to see you did this interview. All the best mate 👍🏻

So awesome about the many worlds interpretation. Always cool to hear an artist you follow to bring it up, when you don't really know what their beliefs and perceptions are then reveal them to be cool and the same as yourself. Pretty cool.

Funny how people perceive things differently, for me "And the Glass Handed Kites" has the most emotional resonance from all of Mew's repertoire, I feel this record amplifies however I feel at a given moment, it is such a beautiful record. It really moves me to a different place. I personally find +- and Visuals difficult to click with. Good interview,

I think +- and visuals (and no more stories) have some great tracks individually but glass handed kites is fantastic from start to finish

I know it was probably not the most judicious question to ask, but I would have liked to know if there is any word on Bo coming back. I never understood if it was a permanent departure or just a extended break of a sort. I really miss his guitar. Such a unique sound.

Bo had a falling out with Jonas that ended their friendship. He went on to become a painter and form the band Turbolens. I don't think he'll ever come back to Mew at this point. At the very least though he did collaborate with Silas on a song, and also Jonas said on the Nordic Portraits podcast that he still thinks Bo is the best guitarist in the world.
