@@lewisner I have a little machine that transfers the music from tapes on to PC in file form. It belonged to my father and was given to me when he passed away. Its great for transferring audio books too, the one that I used it for was "A Town Called Alice". I no longer use the little machine and would quite happily post it out to you if you could find use for it? Currently it's stuck in a drawer. 😊

Memories of hiding out in a tower block in 1980 when I should have been in school. I used to sit in the top corridor on my own and just think to myself, and I drew security from that I knew where the idiots in school were, but they had no idea where I was. I was in love with a peroxide blonde who smoked dope all the time and wore cool clothes. She was older than me and never saw me at all. This song was in my head constantly as it elevated my imagination. 40 years later the tower block is still there, the school was demolished and the blonde is a distant memory. The music lives on.

I remember hearing this back when I was about 9 or 10 when it was in the UK charts. It was probably the first song to capture my attention for its sheer beauty. There was something, even to me as a child, that felt overwhelmingly intimate. Yes, there are plenty of songs that sing about intimacy, but nothing has affected me quite as much as this. It is utterly sublime 👌

I bought the ‘Chariots of Fire’ album in 1981 when I was 14 and grew up with his music. ‘Short Stories’ and ‘Friends of Mr Cairo’ (Jon & Vangelis)… “a seasons wish will come true, all seasons begin with you”. I’m so sad…Where has the time gone. “I Hear You Now” has one of the most emotive and memorable intro’s, ever! Thank you Evangelos where ever you are for your inspirational music.

Don't think I've heard this for around 40 years. For some reason, I couldn't get the melody out of my head all this week. It was going around and around. But I couldn't remember the name of the song or who wrote/performed it for the life of me. All I could recall was that it was synth based and it was a male singer with a fairly high voice. Luckily, I've got a little bit of musical ability. So I whistled the vocal melody into Google and it identified the song immediately. In years gone by I'd have been scuppered, unless someone could have identified it by me humming and whistling the bits I could recall. Technology really is fantastic at times. If someone had told me how this would work when I was ten years old, it would have seemed so futuristic and magical I think.

This is the song which I'd discovered, and heard for the first time, shortly before learning of my friend Barry's passing. It's a song which will always make me think of him as he enjoys his time in Heaven, May He R.I.P. He was truly a good and gentle soul, someone who was pure in his compassion and charitable acts. Over 300 people had attended his funeral service, honoring him through their attendance. It was an oddly timed discovery for me. I was sitting in a movie theater, alone, and had just finished watching the recently released film, 'Near Death,' which was produced by Angel Studios. As the end credits had rolled by onscreen, I'd seen that there was a tribute at the end of them. As I was preparing to say a prayer for those folks, I'd considered the death experience and had wondered who would next to pass amongst my family, friends, and acquaintances. No sooner had I thought that, than my cell phone had lit up with an incoming text, which was from our mutual friend and which had announced Barry’s passing. Later that night, I'd written a poetic tribute to him, a eulogy, and had then posted it to his page, his tribute wall, which was hosted by the funeral home in question. His passing had put me into a little bit of a funk, for he was a truly pure, generous, and compassionate soul. He's in Heaven with God, now, so he's doing better than those of us who are still planet bound. When you have 10 minutes or so of spare time, cuddle up to your spouse and then listen to this transcendental song. Please be sure to watch the screen and listen to the music and lyrics of this wonderfully moving song, for they all combine to warm the heart, intrigue the mind, and stir the soul with emotion. This is a beautiful, moving, and romantic song. One which is ideal for lovers. In my opinion, this should be one of the official songs for Valentine’s 💝 Day. Although it's a song for couples, it's a song which will always remind me of my buddy Barry floating majestically through Heaven, so I will always think of him whenever I hear it. It also makes me think of my first love, my true love, as well. The compassionate, classy, remarkable, intelligent, and extraordinary lady who I’d fallen in love with, oh so many years ago, and who I’d then driven away from me, owing to a lack of emotional maturity, wisdom, and respect on my part. She was someone who was (and always will be) near and dear to my heart. So, now, whenever I listen to this song, ‘Ten Years Gone’ by Led Zeppelin, or ‘Your Own Special Way’ by Genesis, I lament the foolishness of my immature actions back then and can’t help but to become melancholy over losing her, for it would’ve been the highest honor, privilege, and humbling experience to have been able to have her as my wife. It’s odd, when I was younger, I didn’t have much time or patience for being romantic, cuddling, and cherishing a romantic relationship, for I was too self centered and too focused upon my wants and desires and chasing them all down. This is the expense which had caused me to lose my true love, my soul mate. Now that I’ve grown older, and more wise, mature, and responsible, hopefully, I yearn for another chance to make amends to her and to continue on, as before. Like rings upon a pond of reflection when a stone is thrown into it, that time has passed me by, and so, she’ll always remain a melancholy and lost love for me. A cherished one, nonetheless, though. A big thank you goes out to Vangelis and Jon Anderson for creating this wonderfully moving song and for making it available to us, as well as to Mr. Falken. Truly, music is the soundtrack of our lives, the soundtrack which we experience, relax, and adventure throughout our lives to. If you’re looking for similar music to this spectacular song, check out the following artists and albums: Roxy Music - Avalon Andreas Vollenweider - Down to the Moon.

After the first embrace from you my senses knew The look of love was in your eyes and after we first make love our senses tingle to The touch oh how we hypnotize Oh, to get the feeling on and on Oh, just to get the feeling Holding you closer in my arms we drift to heaven Bringing in the morning light And after all is said and done there's only us We can make it right So, our love will carry on and on Now our love will be free, be free. And when we play, love don't delay, I hear you now For what was then, is what is now, anyhow As I became a guest of love's tune hear again We'll carry on together like today. After the first embrace from you I want you too After the first embrace from you I want you too
