😘This channel was created to help spread JON Batiste's message of love and staying human. It is not affiliated with JON Batiste other than that's my home man. We are from New Orleans and share a passion for our city.
Jon Batiste stands as one of the most extraordinary and prolific musicians in history. His musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2018, the world recognized his brilliance as he earned a Grammy nomination in the Best American Roots category. But that was just the beginning.
Fast forward to 2020, and Jon Batiste's name was on everyone's lips. He received not one, but two Grammy nominations for his outstanding work on the albums "CHRONOLOGY OF A DREAM: LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD" and "MEDITATIONS" (a collaboration with Cory Wong). The accolades didn't stop there. That same year, he clinched an Academy Award for Best Original Score for the Disney/Pixar sensation, "SOUL." This achievement was all the more special because he shared this honor with the accomplished composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Jon's contributions to "SOUL" didn't go unnoticed, as he added a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a NAACP Image Award, and a Critic's Choice Award to his ever-growing list of accomplishments. His Oscar win made history, placing him in the esteemed company of legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock as the second black composer to claim an Academy Award for composition.
Batiste's sonic journey continued with the release of his latest studio album, "WE ARE," in March 2021, which was met with resounding critical acclaim. The album's release was nothing short of a game-changer, as he secured an astonishing eleven Grammy nominations across seven diverse categories - a feat never before witnessed in Grammy history. And to top it off, he walked away with five of those Grammys, including the prestigious Album of the Year award.

I believe this is an old video. Her cancer has returned and it has been months since I have seen an update. They are both resilient and wonderful people. Praying for them and their friends and family. Happy that we get to see two unique, artistic souls graciously shar their positivity, joy, sorrow, art and love with humanity

What a beautiful couple they make. She has such strength and depth. Jon created a lullabye each day for her when she could not sleep in the hospital........that is a love story. So is his song "SING". I have been a fan of jon since I saw him, at very young age, performing at my one of my favorite places to visit - Frenchmen St. New Orleans, LA.
Suleika is the picture of calm amid a tide of emotion. She takes those emotions and channels them into her artwork, writing, and more. She's a woman of great talent and inspiration. Just listening to her voice as she speaks is like a meditation.

So, so, glad to hear this news!!! That these two found each other and were so involved in healing each other, wow! If there were any better role models for living I can't think of two right now. Jon kept most of this story to himself while prancing on Colbert night after night. Then he just disappeared. We didn't find out until NOW how everything worked out. Please know that you two have the best wishes of everyone who has ever heard your love story. Live long and show us what you can do!

My career, now retired, was as an RN, mostly spent working in Operating Rooms, so I have seen quite a bit as to what Cancer can do. Have lost patients, family members, friends to this horrible disease over 70+ decades. Rejoice with every breath you take sweet Lady! And smile that beautiful smile! ⚜️💜⚜️
