Never thought of Barbershop bands being the original boybands...UNTIL NOW!!!Such a varied choice of music.

i'm mostly unfamiliar with Jon Baptiste but i love how spiritually he hears, feels, and discusses the music. and him describing the Chi-Lites as 11pm party music is a complete bullseye.

I have a whole new level of respect for him. Wow. He is so diversified musically. Very impressive.

This is the first time in these series that an artist I like chooses mostly music I'm not the biggest fan of, but his take on Sinatra was really nice!

I totally forgot about Anohni (formerly Antony) and the Johnsons. Used to have an interesting song I thought was depressing, but beautiful. Tons of great picks across many genres

Oh, you're one of those people. I wouldn't hate on Blink 182 being a pop punk kid from that time but nobody has the right to look down on any of MJ's 80s run.

Blink 182 Green Fay Do Doubt are crap pseudo punk pop bands. Check out Black Flag, SS Decontrol, Minor Threat, Discharge, Bad Brains.

McCartney, maybe D'angelo (it should be pronounce "dangelo" not D-Angelo), Mills Bros, the compilation of R&B (the original, not that sh¨t of today's charts), Anhony, Louis Armstrong. I can live without the other's music. For real, I expected very much of Jon Batiste. I mean a lot more in taste for music. I could have bet hard for more jazz and at least an album by Prince. Such a disappointment!

@@mella9128 Not worlds, languages. "Angelo" sounds Italian to me (angel). "De Angelo" equals D'Angelo. It works as the Scottish Mac or the Irish O'. Search in YT : how to pronounce D'Angelo Italian. I'm not completely sure, but I think in British English is pronounced as I said.

I mean, my impression that the choices he made sounded weird to me coming from a musician like Jon Baptiste. I feel like he was choosing some kind of "low profile" picks. It's a bit difficult to me to express this feeling as I'm not a native English speaker.
