Jon Batiste’s latest album “World Music Radio” is nominated for the 2024 Grammys Album of the Year. This concept album weaves Jon's signature style of jazz, funk, and soul with the sounds of global artists like Lana Del Rey, Lil Wayne, and K-Pop girl group New Jeans. To break it all down, Jon speaks with Michel Martin.

Jon Baptiste is the most creative man in many genres in the Western world. I love how he is joining other languages and music styles in his music. This excites my intellect deeply! Love it.
Honestly, I would listen to anything Jon Batiste had a hand in. He is a truly good human being and I can't imagine the places he will eventually take us on his musical journey. (is that a stuffed Carmine Bee Eater on his mantle? realistic fiber sculpture?)
