Good point, How do we change it? We should forget about solutions, and focus on changes. I don't consider myself a racist, but a cultural-ist is a feature of my real world interactions, I can't deny the expression of, past the point of personal morals. Traversing past this point is a playwright, that doesn't play right. Moral panic generates our emotional connection that powers the economic charge for change. When we change this consistency, we'll be able to stretch moral panic cycles into longer time frames for our playwrights and enjoy life more.

The Rs have spent the last 50 years telling their supporters that there is no such thing a good governmental solution to anything. And that any solution the fed wants to impose is a secret method to enslave them. They laid the groundwork for their supports to believe that the only solution is giving all the power to a champion, a strong man, who will "be on their side". Who could possibly have guessed that the result would be a petty, narcissistic man-child stepping forward to make that nightmare a reality.

Do whatever you want with your groin. When you start fucking with my rights is when we have a problem. Liberals are the guilty party here for that. Y'all seem to think it's your God-given authority to to say no one gets to have firearms. I can hear the crying now. "The founding fathers meant muskets!" Ok, then they also mean just spoken word and printing press for freedom of speech. They also didn't count the Air Force when writing the 3rd amendment. So, the government can garrison airmen in your home right? I mean, aircraft didn't exist in the 1700s. Neither did the internet or semi-automatic firearms. If all the other 22 amendments get to update with technology, why doesn't the 2nd amendment? Explain it. Your irrational fear of an inanimate object doesn't matter in this context. Using only logic, explain why the 2nd amendment is left out of the updating for the times. I'll even wager real money. $1,000 to the person that makes a compelling argument for why the 2nd is left out of updates.

The Biden administration is trying to do what they can to undo the mess he made and those who don't want to vote for either, or even vote at all are part of the problem. Passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package to increase investment in the national network of bridges and roads, airports, public transport and national broadband internet, as well as waterways and energy systems. 2. Helped get more than 500 million life-saving COVID-19 vaccinations in the arms of Americans through the American Rescue Plan. 3. Stopped a 30-year streak of federal inaction on gun violence by signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that created enhanced background checks, closed the “boyfriend” loophole and provided funds for youth mental health. 4. Made a $369 billion investment in climate change, the largest in American history, through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. 5. Ended the longest war in American history by pulling the troops out of Afghanistan. 6. Provided $10,000 to $20,000 in college debt relief to Americans with loans who make under $125,000 a year. 7. Cut child poverty in half through the American Rescue Plan. 8. Capped prescription drug prices at $2,000 per year for seniors on Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act. 9. Passed the COVID-19 relief deal that provided payments of up to $1,400 to many struggling U.S. citizens while supporting renters and increasing unemployment benefits. 10. Achieved historically low unemployment rates after the pandemic caused them to skyrocket. 11. Imposed a 15% minimum corporate tax on some of the largest corporations in the country, ensuring that they pay their fair share, as part of the historic Inflation Reduction Act. 12. Recommitted America to the global fight against climate change by rejoining the Paris Agreement. 13. Strengthened the NATO alliance in support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion by endorsing the inclusion of world military powers Sweden and Finland. 14. Authorized the assassination of the Al Qaeda terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri, who became head of the organization after the death of Osama bin Laden. 15. Gave Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices through the Inflation Reduction Act while also reducing government health spending. 16. Held Vladimir Putin accountable for his invasion of Ukraine by imposing stiff economic sanctions. 17. Boosted the budget of the Internal Revenue Service by nearly $80 billion to reduce tax evasion and increase revenue. 18. Created more jobs in one year (6.6 million) than any other president in U.S. history. 19. Reduced healthcare premiums under the Affordable Care Act by $800 a year as part of the American Rescue Plan. 20. Signed the PACT Act to address service members’ exposure to burn pits and other toxins. 21. Signed the CHIPS and Science Act to strengthen American manufacturing and innovation. 22. Reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act through 2027. 23. Halted all federal executions after the previous administration reinstated them after a 17-year freeze.

I had a similar epiphany. In the US, we hear "the first African American " or "the first female" or "the first Asian American ". If our country was truly inclusive to everybody, no one would be a first of anything. The fact that we have to add the tag, "the first" shows that our inclusion is an exception and not the rule.

No one (especially politicians) really cares what's going to happen in 25, 50, or 100+ years from now. Everything is short-term and it shows. Why fix (or even slightly change) something that is going to take decades and lots of resources to see any outcomes? This type of thinking is exactly why we all lose.

Fareed's "you sound angry" charge says so much. As soon as Jon mentions racial injustice and our refusal to genuinely address it, he's angry. There is an implicit admission that the content of Jon's words are things to be angry about, even when delivered calmly and with a tongue-in-cheek chuckle. But since Fareed does not share the outrage the content of Jon's word's warrant, and is in fact made comfortable by said content, he zeros in on the anger in lieu of what warrants it.
